Might be weird choosing to eat ramen when traveling in Portugal but it's the real thing just like in Japan unlike in Edinburgh where something's usually just slightly off. ? Preferred the tonkontsu ramen which has thinner kyushu style noodles than the tonkotsu tantanmen and is less salty. If you fish out the ginger, it's kind of like Ichiran but less rich. Would recommend getting extra charsiu pork!! The karaage ? was really good with a nice dip and the chocolate cheesecake was divine, especially the base of it - so well-made (don't be put off by the word 'ginger' lol... the combination has the taste of sophistication ?). The decor was also lovely. Good service.

Cannot go wrong with any of the ramen. The vegan hazelnut tantamen is exquisite. Too bad you can’t try the deep fried pork gyosas: they are no longer on the menu.

It tastes exactly the same as the ramen and soup base I had in Tokyo! Highly recommend!

The ramen (hazelnut tantan) is fully vegan, the broth is really good and flavorful, slightly spicy. The portion is nice for the price. The best ramen that I had in Lisbon even if there is no tofu. They also have some vegan starters. The miso cashew dumplings are ok. Updated from previous review on 2023-09-26

Only like 4 vegan options but the ones I had were so good, cashew gyoza and hazelnut ramen ? ? service was quite slow (although friendly). Really nice sake selection too and they do these little sake tasting boards ?

Fantastic! We absolutely loved our evening here. I had the hazelnut ramen and it was exceptionally good. The service was also amazing, very friendly and attentive. We were recommended a non-alcoholic drink with watermelon and it was delicious. We will be back!

The food quality stands up with the best of them. Presentation was pretty good as well. It was just that the service was probably a 7/10. Nothing bad, but nothing really memorable. Would definitely return, but a bit of a letdown from what it was pre COVID

A nice atmosphere and nice food. This restaurant has a few vegan appetisers and 1 vegan ramen. I had the Agedashi tofu and the hazelnut tantan. Both were great. The ramen (hazelnut tantan) was so good, and the portion was a nice size. The prices were not too bad. The vegan options are clearly labelled vg in the menu. However, there was one dish that was mistakenly labelled vg that had chicken in it. I talked to the waiter, and she said she would take care of it. I highly recommend this place.

Food was very good, but service does not deserve more than 1 star. We entered the restaurant at 10pm. Soon after we realised that they want to close the restaurant at 11pm and they stressed us to order quickly and took away our plates before we finished them. We couldn‘t even finish our wine, as they wanted to close exactly at 11pm. They turned off the lights with people still sitting in the restaurant! Really not customerfriendly.

Very good japanese restaurant in Lisbon. Probably one of the better japanese restaurant i’ve tried in lisbon, paris or london. Makes me remember when i was in tokyo. All plates are really good and with the same taste than in japan. Really impressive. Prices are impressives too, that’s the only negative remark i can make about Afury Chiado, near 200€ for 4 people !

My first time to try hazelnut ramen, and quite tasty. Tried few mochis, all chewy and tasted freshly made
