Spectacular food and service show why Alma deserves their two Michelin stars! We enjoyed every dish, and the pork and potato terrine remains the best dish we experienced on our trip across Portugal.

A small deduction was made for the environment, which is beautiful but puts guests a little close together in what became a noisier dinner experience than we would expect for the upscale nature. Additionally, the overall value rounds out the 4/5 review. We would never expect such artistic culinary creations to be frugal, but the cost of the tasting menu with no consideration for wine pairing was a small note in the negative.

All in all we would recommend Alma as an experience if you love appreciating the art that fine dining can be, and their staff were some of the best in the business!

We loved the comfort, the care of the room team and the chef's availability/attention to exchange a few words with us. Thanks for the whole experience.

From the very first bites, the cuisine reveals an almost perfect mastery. As an amuse-bouche, the pork toasts are fabulous, a true ode to gourmet delight. The main courses continue on this high note, although we did notice a few imperfections: one dish was slightly too salty and the pork needed a bit more cooking time. However, the reimagined pastel de nata stands out as a culinary masterpiece worthy of three stars. To end on a high note, we tasted the arroz doce revisited with cauliflower and a floating cloud, a surprising and bold dessert. The experience remains memorable, enhanced by impeccable and attentive service. This is an address to remember for discerning palates in search of refined gastronomic discoveries.

The requirement to provide credit card data for the reservation is unreasonable not only considering that today everything serves to scam others but also because we are providing data to a third party outside the restaurant. Why not generate a reference MB? Not everyone has a credit card and some who do don't even have a balance. I'm sorry because I think it would be a good gastronomic experience, I really enjoyed it at Calçada Marquês de Abrantes 14 years ago.
The repair remains.

- We chose one seafood course and one basic course. You can experience a variety of new textures and ingredients, but I dislike cilantro and have a taste that I dislike, so it was very unpleasant at times.

- Select wine pairing. $130 per person. The sommelier paired it well and I was satisfied. However, if you have difficulty listening to English, it will be a shame that you will not be able to experience its full charm because it will be difficult to understand the mumbling pronunciation.

- Regarding cost charges. 1) A welcome drink costs 50 euros per person. 2) The final dessert is also provided and costs more than 50 euros. 3) A glass of wine to go with dessert costs more than 50 euros per person. lol

Oh, it's 50 euros per drink. You may not have known it because it was your first time receiving 2 Michelin stars, but since you chose the pairing, you thought it was free. This may be a basic culture, so if you don't like it, you can ask directly if it will be charged, or think that tasting a small amount of wine will be charged.

- When a receipt is brought to the table, a receipt with a 10% tip written on it is pulled out and the customer is told that it is up to you to choose. You can choose no tip or less than 5%, but it is difficult because it is embarrassing after receiving friendly service. (Because they were so kind and considerate, I had already considered tipping about 50 euros, but I didn't know that there was a charge for anything served other than the wine pairing, so 850 euros plus a tip of 85 euros, including the flat porridge, was stamped on the receipt..)

- I ate it happily because it was good luck, but I don't like it if I eat it without knowing and end up feeling bad for no reason. Eat with knowledge!!

- But don't order it with a bottle of wine, just pair it with it. The experience was great haha. Instead, be sure to ask about aperitifs and desserts^^ (=tasting)

Wonderful food and amazing service. The chef is a perfectionist who creates every course (even the many 'surprises") carefully so each one delivers its own tantalizing experience. Every lover of food and civility should experience a meal at Alma. This great establishment should be savoured with worthwhile company, don't waste it on the undeserved.

Vegetarian options: They created my wife her own vegetarian menu that was absolutely amazing. The chef made every effort to create wonderful dishes for her, including the 'surprises'. Most restaurants just offer the usual pasta or risotto. Not Alma, they insist on innovative dishes that enhance the dining experience. Bravo.

The tasting menu was a fantastic experience paying homage to Portugese flavours along with an excellent wine pairing. It was one of the best meals we had while in Europe and would highly recommend if you’re looking for an elevated meal in Lisbon.

Alma definitely deserves a space in our top dinner experiences.

We ordered both menus (Alma and Costa a Costa) that we were able to share, which was very enjoyable as some other restaurants with set menus prefer that the whole party order the same menu. The food itself was amazing, and the wait staff was great. I would to thank Alma as this will forever be a wonderful memory!

We look forward to coming back next time we are in Lisbon.

Dining solo at Alma in Lisbon was an incredible experience that I'll cherish for a long time. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality, making me feel comfortable and valued as a solo diner.

The ambiance of Alma is both elegant and inviting, with a sophisticated decor that creates a perfect setting for a memorable meal. The staff were incredibly attentive and made sure I had everything I needed, offering thoughtful recommendations and sharing their passion for the cuisine.

Each course was a culinary masterpiece, highlighting the creativity and skill of Chef Henrique Sá Pessoa. In fact, I was seated in a position where I was able to watch time taste and finalize the dishes. The flavors were bold yet perfectly balanced, and each dish told a unique story. I was particularly impressed with the seafood dishes on the Costa a Costa menu, which were delicately prepared and bursting with flavor. The presentation was stunning, making each plate a visual delight as well as a gastronomic one.

Despite dining alone, I never felt out of place. The staff's attentiveness and genuine care for their guests made the experience feel personalized and special. They were always available to answer questions and ensure that every aspect of my meal was perfect.

Alma truly lives up to its name, offering a soulful and unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend it to anyone, whether dining alone or with company, looking to indulge in some of the best cuisine Lisbon has to offer. I can't wait to return and explore more of what this remarkable restaurant has to offer.
