Excited about our day, we wanted to eat in our neighborhood before starting a great evening... However, after an hour of waiting, tension began to be felt at the table. Despite a very friendly waiter, the plastic pots of butter worthy of a hospital began to call into question the quality of the meal being prepared. During this time, we were considering a technique to withdraw money without running away as quickly as possible! The arrival of a Portuguese-style beef bourcouillon surprised more than one! Thanks for the sympathy of the waiter, but the trauma of the salad to the salad, disarmed us, the Trojan horse is not reserved for the Romans. PS: the shrimp were very good and the beef too!

Very warm welcome and good food.
The restaurant is not very big, places are rare. We had a pleasant time. The manager speaks French, which doesn't spoil anything ;)
I recommend

Such a unique and sublime place that we stumbled across in Lisboa! Was just checking out the menu outside and got talking to the affable and really cool son of the owner and head chef (proper family business with his Angolan mother). The food is primarily Angolan-inspired and there’s such a delicate level of care and warmth that comes with these dishes, it’s fresh home-cooked food that is inimitable in terms of taste and quality. We wanted everything on the menu between the two of us! Have to recommend the traditional Angolan chicken stew dish (be prepared to use your hands!!) but also really recommend the coconut shrimp curry, possibly my favourite thing I tried out here in Lisboa. But really, you can’t go wrong with any dish here. Also, the apple crumble was delectable and rich, we came back another late night just to have that again! Whenever I’m about in Lisboa, I will always be back here: the reasonable prices, delicious food, sublime atmosphere and decor and the amazing staff really made this place one of the best parts of our time in Lisboa!
Vegetarian options: Great options available here.
Dietary restrictions: No issues with serving someone with a severe nut allergy, they were diligent and reassuring about this.

Today I went for lunch with a friend at Batata doce and we had a great shrimp moqueca. We shared an apple crumble and an orange and cheese afternoon. Everything was great. At the end we had a friendly conversation with D Isabel... we promised we will return.

Nice artsy bluesy toilet. I like the blue painting on the blue wall. The blue wall on top of the blue floor. The blue is king. Blue is life.
I went at Christmas time in 2023, a pleasant surprise! I recommend it for the food, atmosphere and friendliness. ?✨

Small restaurant in Lisbon, next to the French Embassy, whose service is welcoming and where French is spoken. The dishes are tasty and well served. The cod fritters are excellent.I recommend this restaurant
