fries cold, fish not good, I do not recommend
The bifana place Bourdain went to was closed for holidays, so I found this (also highly recommended) place. There was a line and it was busy, so I thought I might not get a table (and that that might be a problem) but when I walked in there was a counter where and older Portuguese dude was chowing down on a bifana and a glass of wine, so I just pointed to him, got what he was having and stood there devouring it. One of the best meals I've ever had, and it came in at just a hair under 6 euros. Dead simple and incredibly delicious - sliced pork, bread and (optional, add-it-yourself) mustard. Another absolute must-do when in Lisbon.

We went in to have a beer and finished with a juicy and tender bifana. Adult waiters, with experience in customer service. The beer is a bit expensive (€3) but it is a central location.

SCAM FOR TOURISTS
Terrible service, the employees gestured for us to sit down and get the menu, the employees always shouting as if they were alone, when it was time to pay the bill the super arrogant attendant told us that they didn't accept cards, in short, from start to finish super unpleasant..

Good food and well served. However, it does not accept credit cards, with the excuse that “the ATM machine is broken”, something that, in fact, I came across in several other places in Portugal. It would be simpler and more honest if they said, CLEARLY, that they do not accept cards. In the case of this restaurant there was a small sign at the top of a shelf (just to say that we were not warned) that we were only shown when paying the bill. In other words, if you are unprepared, you will have to go to a teller (if you find one nearby that works) to withdraw money and pay your bill. A real discomfort.

Ordered a dish with cod, prawns and rice. Disgusting, we couldn't eat it was so bad. Ramstek in Portuguese is woefully bad. The waiter didn't even deign to ask if everything was okay, he just coldly took everything from the table even though we didn't even touch the food.
A place to avoid.

Bifana is great, but they’ve charged extra for all the positions on the menu. I can see prices on the wall, come on! This is despicable! Also, no card payments, which might come as an unpleasant surprise.

Frozen potatoes, frozen squid and rice that is too syrupy. Very expensive for the quality.
Nice place with friendly staff. Excellent food with prices appropriate to the quality. Not to be missed.

No recommended product is as described. Moreover, there are rude employees who do not know how to serve. Be careful when paying, there will always be those who want to get more from you. You will understand how right I am by eating a meat sandwich between bread called Bifana.
