A little hidden in the Parque das Nações Sul district is the good restaurant Cartel36 with authentic Portuguese and fine food at reasonable prices and friendly service (also English speaking). For the starter we had the smoked mushrooms to share and for the main course Javali da caça (wild boar) with sweet potatoes and Magret de pato com molho de Laranja (finely carved duck breast with orange jus) grilled with various vegetables and a bottle of red wine "Dez Tostões" ( Recommendation from the boss) went very well with the menu. For dessert we shared a very fine crême brulée. The restaurant is highly recommended.

Hidden in a cul-de-sac in the Parque das Nações area, this restaurant advertises a meat offering with a theme related to cartels. The problem is that besides the name and a cute thing or two in the cover charge and in the names of the menus, there is nothing that follows either the dishes or the decoration of the place, and what we find is a restaurant with a very normal look without any reason to emphasis on the topic. The meats, since we were a large group and it was possible to compare and taste several dishes, it can be said that they were not always the best cuts, some with a lot of fat where it would not be expected (breast, which is from the rump area and typically not contains a lot of fat) and is generally reasonable but not surprising or that would make anyone want to return. The best thing was the service, with very friendly employees.

Everything the four of us ordered was surprisingly delicious, whether it was steak or beef stew, the meat was tender and not tough at all. The roasted sweet potatoes as a side dish are the best I have ever tasted, crispy on the outside and soft, chewy and sweet on the inside.
