Traditional restaurant. The food was delicious and at a good price, in a modest and pleasant atmosphere.

Owner kept harassing my daughter and I while we ate, saying all the mean things in Portuguese and laughing- complaining when we needed to use the washroom. Didnt even finish the food. This guy shouldnt be in the service industry. Very very bad.

I've never been more uncomfortable eating in a restaurant. I wanted to leave right after the person/server/owner? pulled the menu out of my hand and walked away before I could finish ordering, but I freeze up in some situations that make me uncomfortable and my group was looking to eat since we hadn't eaten a meal for lunch yet (we had eaten a bit of food right around noon) and it was almost/around 14:00. My group included three older individuals (70s and 80s in age), and we typically can't eat full individual portions anyway. The owner expressed displeasure/anger that we had ordered "only" two whole chicken platters and a mixed salad (for me); he stopped taking my order when I was beginning to order drinks. He communicated to me that the amount of food ordered was too little and I sought to explain that we weren't very hungry and could not eat much (especially me at the time) but that's when he walked away and told the woman/his relative? that we ordered only the two whole chickens and salad.
He ended up coming back and asking me what drinks we wanted to order.
I ate as quickly as I could and stayed fairly silent.
I see from the other reviews that my group essentially ordered and paid similar/comparable amounts per person to the orders of other customers (who seemed to have had positive experiences).
I also see from other reviews that my group and I are not the only ones who have experienced the expressed emotions of the person/server. That is a pity. I wish this establishment continued success since it seems some patrons do enjoy themselves, the food, and the people at the restaurant, and I don't wish harm on people trying to earn a decent living.
What a day it has been in Lisbon.
Vegetarian options: Not many. Mixed salad. Bread.

The best place we ate in Lisbon! Excellent. The food was super abundant, exquisite. I ate a pig's leg that fell apart by itself because it was so soft. It is a family business and everything is super homemade. They are super friendly and make you feel like you are a guest in their home. Do not miss it!

Spectacular treatment, despite arriving at 3:30 p.m., they fed us without a problem. Homemade food, tasty and at a very good price. 100% recommendable
