Excellent restaurant! Very good service, super comfortable and cozy environment, helpful and very polite staff, has a good gluten-free menu and suitable for celiacs! We ordered Partridge, Lamb and Cod and everything was extremely tasty! Very good
Phenomenal traditional food, with an extra special twist. The Fado of Coimbra is just the cherry on top. Even more so being a genre that is not so popular here in Lisbon. The decoration is taking a trip down memory lane to the good old student days. Lovely. Highly recommend it!!!
Cozy, spectacular octopus, food enlivened by Fado shows.
A cellar with many wines, cultural music scene (we didn't see a musical show). Hearty dishes, we recommend the plate of rice and fish. The waiter didn't speak English well... But good place to eat well. Ordinary dessert.
We are not.Friendly waiter, but perhaps inexperienced. My girlfriend is allergic to various foods and he wasn't quite sure how to act.The menu in Italian is completely wrong, it was better they had given me the one in English. The platter of cold cuts and cheeses 16 euros, but really meager. On the other hand, the Portuguese-style meat and the chocolate cake are very good.I'm sorry to give two stars, it shows that it is a new reality. I hope they can improve, there is potential.
Reading all these positive ratings and even getting personal recommendations we couldn't wait to visit this restaurant. The place itself was not very nice. They didn't have tablecloth, just some brown paper on the tables. The urinal didn't work and the other toilet in the men's room couldn't be locked. You can imagine some awkward situations...Food:The octopus salad tasted good - nothing to complain about. The main dish was tagliatelle with mushrooms. For 12-14 € (I don't remember exactly) I expect a far better taste. I know the meal itself is nothing special, but I think there has to be some kind of pleasant taste and not just: "cook noodles - boil some mushrooms - fry with onions - put it together - salt it - done". Very disappointing. I won't give 1 star because I am hoping I had just bad luck with my choice of meal.
Good service, good economical food, not the best
A stellar octopus
Fabulous cuisine and excellent fado
Nothing like enjoying the moment with family, with a good Coimbra fado.
Restaurantji Recommends
Very good address next to the central square of Lisbon. Very affordable lunch menu and we ate well. The boss is very nice.
Restaurant. Pleasant, very good attention. Good luck
The Portuguese guitars are great! I loved!
Excessively expensive. Quality, yes, but very little quantity (with the exception of the menus during the week). I won't go back.
It is the only place in Lisbon where Fado de Coimbra is sung.
Very welcoming environment. Good, homemade food in a family atmosphere.
We often go with several friends and large groups.
You can reserve the room just for us, play, sing.... and the guitarist who is the owner, Nuno Cadete, does everything to make us welcome, including singing, playing his guitar... he is a true host.
I highly recommend it....
