Bediening steelt gewoon je geld en doet daarna alsof het je eigen schuld is

A superb place near Belem but terrible and unsmiling staff. Slow service because you HAVE to sit down without knowing what you want to order so when you don't speak Portuguese you have to go back to the counter to show the products. Long wait at the counter before being served and also to pay. To go to the toilet we get glared at for asking for a token. In short, unpleasant and we tried it twice.!!

Kid-friendliness: OK for stroller

Excellent snack and service!

I had a wonderful experience at Confeitaria Nacional Belém. The baguette was delicious, and the attendant Andreia was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming, even on a wintery day. The price is also quite reasonable. I recommend!

Bar above the Tajo river, with good music where you can eat an exquisite sweet with an original flavor, not a plastic one.

I always come because I like the atmosphere.
But the waitress with short hair never responds well, I always have to call her, or I stay there for hours without placing my order, when I enter she responds rudely that the order is made at the table. Anyway, I thought it would only be once but it's not. This greatly reduces the quality.

Conveniently located in between Belem Towers and Monument to the Discoveries. Can get very good views of both locations while enjoying a hot cup of coffee. But beware, food can make you sick. The staff is very rude. Find some other option if you can.
It was such a hassle to order our food and the waitress was so annoying initially, maybe because they instantly know if you are a tourist. She was not ready to take our order when we are pointing and saying what we want but wanted us to memorize the names and order later from the table but not at the counter when we pay. Makes no sense. Once we got our food and sat down on a table with a sun shade umbrella, she immediately had to come and close the umbrella down in the scotching heat. All other umbrellas were up, but she had to close only ours down. Made no sense. In spite of me sternly saying that we just sat down and can it stay up until we finish our meal since we had already started eating, she would not listen and continued to close the shade and made us move to a side location, next to the toilets, filled with birds and bird poop and had to squeeze ourselves in to even get to that table.
We quickly finished our half eaten meal and got out of there and I fell sick that night because of the mozzarella sandwich I ate there.
Why do you all treat tourists so badly? You want people to visit, buy your hopeless food and want their money but treat them so bad? WHY?

What a delicious quiche, I had to make it again! The soy latte is also amazing! The custard tarts and Berlin cake are very good! In addition to the view of the Belém Tower!

Might be a cultural difference however we’ve been automatically served to take away and were asked to leave when we wanted to sit due to apparently standing in a “takeaway” line although there was only one line.

service is probably one of the slowest in Lisbon. although catered for tourists, there are also Portuguese people just like myself who are taking a little break but can’t spend 30 minutes waiting for a simple snack and coffee. Idle personell all the time. regardless of that, the quality is good and the view is spectacular.
