After more than 4 years waiting for someone to help me or at least respond, I decided to come and leave my review.
Like other people, my wedding celebration plans were affected by the pandemic. It is completely understandable that this happened and for this reason, over the months, we were forced to choose new dates as the pandemic progressed. We had a list of more than 80 guests (60 of them needing to travel internationally to be present at the event) and they were constantly notified about the new dates.
I went through several names (which I won't mention here) since the first wedding planner left the company. I rarely got answers to my questions and they became scarcer until finally I never got an answer again. The entire deposit amount was lost, all the time planning menus, reception, photographer, DJ, flowers... EVERYTHING was gone along with the high deposit of a few thousand euros. All the embarrassment of having to tell my guests what happened. Many of them were going to visit Portugal for the first time as I insisted that the ceremony take place in Lisbon, the city where I lived for 12 years. Everything is very vivid in my memory and unfortunately I will never see the money again. It will continue to be a matter of sadness.
I see there are recent reviews... Would Estufa Real be operating again? Telephone contacts still don't lead anywhere. Please, I need to put an end to this dilemma. I would like to have my money refunded so that I can, perhaps, go back to planning my wedding celebration that unfortunately never happened.

Estufa Real was our first option for our wedding venue. Let’s start with the good part. It a beautiful venue - the gardens, the view, the greenhouse - with a great location, right in the city center. And the good part ends there. Even before covid, problems were already piling up. Since you have to use them for the catering, once you sign in, you have very little negotiation power. Which doesn’t have to be a problem, if there is a little bit of good common sense. If… Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Extremely inflexible attitude, constantly putting us against the wall, in what felt like a constant attempt to get more money from us, which, when you are planning a wedding, can be quite tiring and frustrating. An example: asking for a gin bar, when you are already paying for the gin and open bar, costed more than bringing an outside company (and not a small player), including the staff, the stand, the glasses and the gin… And then covid hit. It got everyone by surprise, venues and clients alike, and we understand that it wasn’t easy to manage. We just asked for a date the following year. That was what all other venues were offering. We got stalled and stalled for months. Eventually, we asked for our money back. And the stalling continued. In the end, and probably because we got a lawyer involved from the very start, we managed to get our money back. This didn’t save us from months of stress, much of it unnecessary. Choosing a wedding venue is much more than choosing a view or a location. We got that from the place that came after Estufa Real; not from Estufa Real. From them, we got one of the worst customer experiences of our lives. Won’t be missed, nor recommended!

Yummy seafood for brunch. Am not so much a dessert person but the chocolate truffle was my favourite.
My daughter planned to have her wedding there in July 2020, but due to covid and flight cancelations, we had to cancel the wedding as families were not able to travel due to the lockdown. Thinking that they would return the deposit. Well they didn't and they said either have the wedding by the end of the year or too bad. As we know due to covid and flight lockdown that was an impossible solution. I would not recommend them as they are dishonest and stole my daughter's deposit. We tried to contact them many times but was unable to. WARNING: Make sure you do not give large deposits and be very careful if booking a destination event with them.

This place should not be trusted - they will lie to you and steal your money.Our wedding was supposed to happen on 5th of June and was cancelled because of the pandemic and government restrictions in place at the time.After waiting for months for our deposit back, we have now been told that we would only get 80% back , in two instalments even though they told us multiple times we could get it back fully.We have asked for our deposit back since March as they could not provide us another date and kept telling us it was due to logistical issues.... we are heartbroken and don’t know what to do.... without our deposit we cannot even plan our wedding for 2021.
They catered my wedding on July 17th and it was terrible. The employees are rude, inconvenient. They refused to serve food to an elderly person, they refused to serve food to a guest, I was the bride, I called the employees, they looked at them and followed me, in other words, I was literally ignored. I asked for things 3 and 4 times and they weren't brought, the coffee looked like dirty water but for others it was quality coffee (in other words, they established differences between the guests). Poor quality food, supposed to be tenderloins and sirloin was served and it was very dry. They accused my guests of stealing when some things were reported missing, as it was a very intimate wedding with the majority being family and very close friends. They threw away the flowers when I didn't give them the order. Among other situations that if I were listing this text would be even longer. I don't recommend it at all, what should have been a day of great happiness ended up leaving something to be desired.
