The last night of our trip to Portugal. I was walking around Alfama and stopped by. I'm grateful to have found this store. Not only the food, but also the warm hospitality of the staff. You'll love Portugal. It's that kind of shop.

We had dinner at the restaurant and when our food arrived, the dishes were cold, we ate some dishes anyway, 3 of the people at the table asked to change the dishes, both because they were cold and because they were really bad.
When the bill arrived we started to pay, we realized that we had been charged for 6 dishes for three people. When we asked to see the bill they didn't want to show it.
We ask to speak to the owners and two guys arrive shouting and hitting their hands, almost attacking us.
Some friends stayed to talk to them and they locked the door with them inside.
We were threatened, it was the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant.

Most horrible place! Owners screaming at us! Charging us twice for the same plates we returned as it was cold and bad. Awful service. Super aggressive, wanted the money but not doing the service. Unapologetic. It almost ended by calling the police, tourist trap, never go! And they locked my friends inside to negotiate payment.

Some have labeled this as "tourist" prices, which I can't weigh in on, but we got bread & olive oil, a steak, seafood risotto, a bottle of water, and a bottle of wine for 65€ in summer 2024. Lower prices might be available at supremely "local" places that are unaccommodating of tourists, but this staff and experience was great
saw good reviews about the polvo and im glad to say it did not disappoint. the octopus was tender, juicy, well seasoned and nicely charred. (however i did not really appreciate the sweet potato mash with tomatoes ?) had the tyto alba red wine which was delicious! overall, the place had a homely but still sophisticated vibe with helpful staff. it is also right next to the miradouro.

Small restaurant like taverna. Good service! Clams are very nice. Portion could be bigger. Service is really good but the young lady has to hassle around as she’s alone. Supervisor (maybe the owner) seems a bit commanding. But overall good experience!!
