Atrocious food and Racist behavior : save your palate n purse €€
Family of 9 visiting from different countries across the globe. What was good: efforts made to accommodate and seat us. What went wrong: Unpalatable steak - my daughter nearly puked so we asked it to taken back which they did. 2nd steak- overdone and rubbery we still ate it as didn’t want to make too much of fuss. Fries: stale and stank of reused oil repeatedly!! 2x paella: reheated from frozen.
The server ( Hassan) was asked to deduct the unpalatable returned steak to be told can’t cancel but can only be replaced.. we said we didn’t want any replacement as we were generally not satisfied with food. The waiter Gets angry.. throws tantrums.. slams the iPad/ tab used for the orders..insists I pay for the returned steak and a bunch of the other servers now are all around us trying to force us to pay.. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he can’t come and speak to me.. things get really bad now and the whole group of servers/ waiters start to threaten us start an racist tirade. We put our foot down and refuse to pay or leave till the manger presents himself..! Now we are being shouted at and threatened by the bunch of waiters.. few more new faces of waiters turn up and say the manager doesn’t speak any English whatsoever and so will not come to talk to us..! We still insist.. after a 20 min ruckus the manager eventually turns up and turns out he does under some basic English but speaks nil ..! Using Google Translate we present to our horrible experience, he apologizes and deducts returned steak. No one should ever go this experience.

Scam: the seller inside clearly tells us the price of €8 for 4 pasteis de nata. When paying by card it does not show the price on the payment terminal. Finding this suspicious, we asked him for the ticket and saw that he had added €2 to the total price. As soon as we got back to him he asked his colleague for €2 in change to give back to us without us having to ask him anything, as if he expected it. It's only €2 but it's for the principle. Check your amounts carefully! Not crazy cakes, there are much better and cheaper elsewhere.

Without a doubt the worst place I have been to on this trip to Portugal…. Apart from being expensive… it was not quality at all… if you want to feel cheated in each and every way!! This is your place... be careful when paying, they force you to pay a tip on top of the bill of about 6.50 they told us... for example hahaha a scam...

My sandwich came out of the microwave and was dry, the coffee with milk had more milk than coffee in it and the service was disastrous. Then also dare to ask for a tip. And you can't even use the napkins as napkins. If you want to laugh about a bad experience, eat here.

The pastry doesn't even deserve one star. Showcase full of cake but the cakes are lousy. Inefficient waiter who speaks only English, we are in Portugal and not even in England. They also ask for a tip. Horrible experience.

Quite disgusting and disappointing. We sat down to have a nice dinner however the coffee steak was inedible. We sent it back as it was sickening. We asked for it to be taken off our bill but they blatantly refused and the waiter threw his ipad in anger and began shouting at us. Him and his co worker began to bad mouth us in another language that they thought we wouldn’t understand (which we did). Overall the service was unsatisfactory and upsetting.
