Somewhere an Italian chef is crying. The sauce is terrible, the truffle is tasteless and does not give any smell, all together turns the pasta into a quiet horror. Despite the fact that I didn’t eat the dish, I still had to pay 17 € for it, which is overpriced by all standards

I had already seen some advertising for this restaurant and the fact that it had carbonara made with pecorino and guanciale increased my curiosity. So there I decided to try it. Experience from heaven, I ordered a few starters, one of which was eggplant in tomato sauce (Parmigiana di melanzane) and also a Bruschette Tricolore. Both good but the parmigiana di melanzane was magnificent. As for the dishes, there is no doubt, I have made carbonara at home several times, I confess that this one is much better, with fresh pasta, thicker but soft and al dente spaghetti, with the perfect guaciale and the sauce made with eggs and creamy pecorino that you just want to eat and not stop. Without a doubt, anyone who likes Italian food would strongly recommend trying the carbonara at this restaurant at least once. You won't regret it. Another dish that was also divine was the Girasoli di burrata e tartufo, where ham is the king of cheese. As for desserts, although we tried the homemade tiramisu and it was actually very good, the star is the Torta Caprese. Simply divine, it is a mixture of bombastic flavor for our mouth. I also recommend eating this dessert at least once in your life. Of course, if you like it, don't stop ?. I was really satisfied with the experience and of course, I highly recommend it to anyone who likes Italian food but also anyone who wants different experiences. It should be noted that the restaurant also sells fresh pasta outside, so anyone who wants can stop by and take it. They even sell a carbonara “kit” to make at home. Genius. And if I can say, I will come back.
We we're warmly greeted by Ernesto when we arrived. The food was fresh and extremely tasty, with plenty of options on the menu. Staff were very friendly which made a nice atmosphere.
We were so impress we went back a 2nd time and it was just as good.
Loved the lemon chelo.

Despite saying they have "lisbon's best carbonara", the carbonara was ok but nothing crazy. The tiramisu was too hard. The staff was not nice, except for a woman who was starting to work on the restaurant

Stopped in for a Saturday lunch. Empty with 1 table coming after us. They sat us behind a refrigerator with no space, we were a table of 4 ?♂️
We ordered bread, convert, sangria (delicious) and some drinks for the kids. We had a salad (decent, fresh) and 3 pasta dishes.
The pumpkin ravioli was super sweet and appeared to be the same dough as the other pasta (water, flour only). Filled pasta is from Emilia Romana and should be an egg pasta. This was not an egg pasta. It was oily and had no sauce and seemed like a dessert it was such a sweet flavor. We couldn't eat it.
I had what was called "cacio e Pepe". There are 4 ingredients to this classic Roman pasta: egg, pecorino Romano, guanciale, black pepper. It was missing 2 of the 4 ingredients (guanciale and egg). The plate came out cold, which left the spaghetti with pecorino hard and dry. There was no sign of any guanciale and no flavor of it either (even if they used a cheap bacon, it would have been more authentic than leaving one key ingredient missing). It was so disappointing, we couldn't eat that either. We left 2 plates half eaten, both of them pasta.
The third: spaghetti with tomato and shrimp was decent and the kids ate their portions.
There is a good looking pasta room off of the dining room, covered in a weird 1890's style lace curtain, which is odd. The server was nice enough and they have plenty of outside seating going unused.
From the weird seating of our table (behind the fridge with no space with an empty dining room with plenty of better options) to totally incorrect and bad pasta dishes, to the odd and random grandma style decorations here and there, to the coffee capsule machine, I can see why they're basically empty on a Saturday lunch.
I want them to be better. This neighborhood needs authentic pasta place with good flavor and a comfortable place to be on a Saturday, but they are really missing the mark. Hard to explain but getting a chef and recipe that at a minimum creates authentic classic recipes (you have a real pasta room!) and add some decent music, drop the dirty lace curtains and liven up the place... you'll be busy!
Please pull some recipes off the internet for filled pasta dough and the classic Roman pastas you offer.
Correction: I DID order the carbonara and got an ice cold plate of spaghetti with pecorino. it was a solid mass within 1 minute of arriving. My partners ravioli was oily, with no discernible sauce other than a flavorless oily substance. We wish this place was better and the owners tried to make the offerings better, rather than blaming the customers for poor seating, substandard pasta and a non welcoming attitude as evidenced by his response.
If this is #4 Italian restaurant in Lisbon, God help us.
