We are so glad we found this hidden gem !! Ricardo was so kind and friendly with us, the food was stunning... we had the bacalhau and it was the best of our lives ! He brought such a great wine for me and made us feel at home. If you're coming to Lisbon that's definitely a place we can't miss if you want to have an unforgettable experience.Great service, food perfectly done and wonderful location. I'd call this place a joke but the joke was on us.in a nutshell, overrated, overpriced and tbh we felt it was a scam or tourist trap. This place is reservation only, seems to be a family owned place serving homemade food - and it would be great but - the owner insisted so much on how the food was being freshly prepared there's nothing that justifies a ONE hour wait for a steak or any grilled food. To be franc almost EVERY place in Portugal that serves grilled food it is freshly prepared - i mean.. it's grilled. Secondly, the price were just absurd.. Paying more than 20 euros for a steak? Should be special right? nope. The famously and repeatedly announced home made sauce was bland and anything but original. Overall the food wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special either. For the price and service announced it was frustrating and lacked quality.On a last note, the attitude of the owner left a sour taste too, serving multiple tables alone is not easy but.. he seemed stressed about any request, everything had to be done on his time. To make things worse the owner still made comments about other restaurants and how they were terrible and his restaurant was so much better. Sad.Hope this review helps others and to be honest, hope it helps the owners to improve: the food isnt bad but you're aiming at a quality and service level that's way beyond your offering and obviously a huge mismatch with the pricing.

Wow,what a night. It is off season (April) and the restaurant was not busy. The food was really good. I have never met more gracious and welcoming hosts. This is a night to remember.

Prices too high for the service, for the room and for the neighborhood in which it is located. Be careful of the dishes they let you find on the table at the entrance, if you eat them and don't send them back to the kitchen, you will pay a high price for them.

Great place, would definitely recommend highly if you love fresh and authentic portugese food. Ricardo & Ana are great and amusing hosts, only Ana speaks english but Ricardo will teach you Portugese in a very amusing manner if you’re up for it! Delicious ham, octopus salad and Arroz Mariscos! Gotten a bit more expensive so account for about 60€ each including wine for a three course meal.

I found this place my first night in Lisbon. Maria and her husband run this restaurant and do an amazing job. I didn’t know we needed reservations but they got us a table anyway. My son and I were the only ones in the restaurant after another couple left and we felt like we were family. The food was amazing but the friendly service was even better.

The main concept of the restaurant is very original and is a family restaurant. I am definitely coming back with my family as this was an amazing meal for us. We not only enjoyed the food but the service was very good and the staff are very friendly. I 10/10 recommend.
