The service is excellent, with very friendly waiters who try their best to explain the dishes, even if their English isn't perfect. Guests are welcomed warmly, and the restaurant offers complimentary bread and olives to start. A half-liter of vinho verde is served in a small pitcher for just 5€. Main courses like tuna steak with grilled onions and potatoes are expertly cooked, tasting like a home-cooked meal made with love. For dessert, Tareco Doce da Casa, a big bowl of whipped cream and custard over a cookie, is highly recommended. This family-run, cozy spot in the lower part of Alfama is a must-visit in Lisbon, offering a genuine and memorable dining experience.
