It exceeded my expectations, the restaurant is beautiful, with good taste in decoration.
From the moment we arrived, the person at the entrance welcomed us with a smile, which is very nice!
We decided to start with a fresh, sparkling white wine, recommended by the owner and it turned out excellent.
The delicious starters, our waiter with extensive knowledge of the preparation of the dishes, which allowed us to make a good choice.
The delicious, fresh bass felt like a fish of the day, but the star of the night was the rice with goat, a true delight.
A must visit if you come to Lisbon and want to eat and drink the best!

Excellent experience. Impeccable service, available and attentive to our needs. I found the food very good, well prepared and with excellent flavours; without a doubt excellent cuisine. Great choice of wines. I will certainly return

I hate to say this but it was the worst dining experience for me in my five-day Lisbon stay…
Extremely salty codfish and seafood rice, even compared to average Lisbon salty flavour. The rice is inedible in particular.
Poor service. Waited for 15 mins and asked again, finally got our sparkling water. During the meal, the waiter takes away my codfish dish without asking, when there were still 60% of the food left on the plate. Not sure what was going on.
Of all three dishes, the octopus is good and the only reason I do not rate one star.
The food was extremely disappointing. Croquetes had no flavour. Pork pica pau was extremely tough but the worst was the octopus which we sent back as it was only grilled with no flavour sitting on a pile of wilted spinach and dry potatoes. I don't usually send back dishes but the dish was not nice at all. The cherry on top was a lady, who I assume to be the chef as she was wearing a chef's apron, coming to the waiter on the restaurant floor and complaining really loudly that her octopus was perfect and bla blá blá. Completely unnecessary. Service was sub par as no one came to check on us between meals (the restaurant was empty) . When in Lisbon, eat food from places in the street and don't waste your money here.

I was very disappointed with the attitude of the manager, who, when asked about the possibility of opening a non-alcoholic wine, even though the house did not have this drink on the menu, demanded to charge us for corkage. Now, if there are no non-alcoholic wines on the menu, why charge for corkage for our wine? As an alternative, he indicated that there were other non-alcoholic drinks...I found it to be total insensitivity and rigidity in dealing with customers with dietary restrictions. And the bill came to more than €50 per person.. very expensive for the food and service.
Dietary restrictions: There is no non-alcoholic wine on the menu;

Dinner for two, typical Portuguese food with a slight twist, but it didn't surprise me. It has quality, but the price is exaggerated for the dishes they serve. I ate rooster fish fillets with orange sauce, but I found the sauce extremely sweet. The dessert was chocolate mousse, dark and thick as I like it, but I thought it had too much fat. It was a pleasant meal, good atmosphere and friendly service, although a little anarchic. But I wouldn't go back due to the price-quality ratio, it doesn't justify it.

Delicious food and had our final lunch in Portugal here. However, it took forever to get food.

Quality Portuguese food. A historic restaurant in Lisbon for many generations and its owners and managers just published a book that is worth buying for photos and history

It was not easy to find a restaurant in Lisbon that would welcome, on a Saturday night, 20 people for an à la carte birthday dinner, and whose only requirement was to seat everyone at a single table (row, L-shaped or U-shaped). Pap’açorda agreed to our request and that was the reason we made the reservation. However, when we arrived we found two tables far apart and they assured us that the reservation had been made with the express request of two tables, and that there would be no mistake on the part of the restaurant because the reservations team has been the same for years and has never I would reserve a single table for 20 people. The room manager was completely unavailable to reorganize the space according to our request, arrogant and insolent. That's when we realized that they probably told us that they accepted a single table reservation so as not to lose the group. There was plenty of space to rearrange the two tables into one, but the person in charge of the room was completely unavailable to do so, claiming that the restaurant's procedures did not allow it. At that time of night, no matter how much we wanted, it would be impossible to find a restaurant that could accommodate 20 people, so we ended up staying there and having the night ruined. We were not compensated in any way and were even held responsible for having mistakenly made the reservation! They didn't lose 20 customers, they lost a lot more.
