A very nice evening! Here you are welcomed like a member of the family and we are happy to welcome you. It’s very friendly and friendly, and above all professional! The show takes place in 3 parts and the voices are each more striking and magnificent than the other. The guitar accompaniment is also exceptional. I don't speak Portuguese, but it was exceptional. Well done!!

We came here on our last night in Portugal. It was a lovely experience and the music was beautiful and moving and lively. You each get a set meal of appetizer, meal and dessert. We had the sardines, carpaccio of bacalau, the seafood stew in a bread bowl (excellent) and the seafood combo of octopus and prawns which was hearty. For dessert creme brulee and the rice pudding (house specialty) were delicious. You eat intermittently when the musicians start service stops. Unfortunately you can't film the performers instead they just ask you to listen and feel the music. Very cool place, authentic

Good Fado singing, food was basic, crammed seating. The whole event takes about 3 hours, first singing after 1,5 hours, so prepare to wait.

I selected this location based on online reviews. I have no regrets. What a wonderful night!
I felt very well cared for from the moment I came in. Chef de salle is an outstanding professional who gives each guest the sense that they're the most important figures. Help when selecting items from the menu is invaluable. I regret not asking for your name, but I'd want to thank you for your excellent service. So now - I read that many people did not enjoy the cuisine at Parreinha de Alfama. I believe this is because they are accustomed to modernised Portuguese cuisine. This restaurant serves mother's and grandmother's cuisine - they weren't terrified of use of cream or olive oil! In general I was quite impressed - it felt authentic. The wine list also offers something for everyone. For several days, I searched for a great Douro Oboe in Lisbon, which I drank there, but I could not find it. All the more reason to argue that it was a unique experience. But the truth is that you're here for fado. The evening is really well organised, and I'm shocked that some people couldn't decide whether to eat or listen to the music. The food has been served to the table; it is time to eat, and the fado is taking a break while you wait for the next course. Easy. Fado musicians are outstanding. Yes, I know - I also went to other spots in Lisbon. Yes, some of them may have a wonderful environment, but I've never seen such professionalism anyplace. I see why Amalia Rodrigues came here and had her favourite table. But tourists know better... It was a great experience for me. Both younger and older generations demonstrate a high level of artistic ability. There will be a lot of emotions, so be prepared for both laughter and tears. Don't worry if you don't speak Portuguese; the level of expression in fado is so great that unless you have a chicken's IQ, you'll comprehend the message. With the chef de salle, we debated whether the term fado should be translated as fate or destination. Very interesting; when I next visit Lisbon, I will surely return to Parreinha de Alfama to conclude this chat.

We arrived by chance and it was one of the best night we had in Portugal! From the food to the service everything was amazing and the ambience with the music and the performances was incredible. We didn’t expect Fado could be so entertaining and fun, but I guess when the quality is high you can really enjoy great food and music for a special night to remember.

Exceptional evening! All the staff seem passionate. We were able to enjoy succulent cuisine. Accustomed to traditional Portuguese meals, we were able to expand the choice of redundant menus.
The price is worth the quality of the services, the dishes and especially the show offered. Very intimate, even family, we share their love for fado, which will give you goosebumps.
Arriving at 8 p.m., we left at 12 a.m. very satisfied. Our children (11 and 14 years old) really liked it, even if at the end, the busy day felt...
Really worth doing!!

My grandparents have been there, my parents, and now I've seen the show and have no regrets. Probably as authentic as it gets in terms of fado singing, and the history of this establishments shows. All of the singers were so talented! The 60€ price is absolutely fair + the food is insanely delicious (I recommend the octopus)

Very nice and well-kept place, very professional, kind and very welcoming staff. The food was excellent and the portions generous. We booked a dinner for two with a Fado show and were very satisfied, we were able to listen to 15 songs for voice, Portuguese guitar and acoustic guitar. Two singers and one singer performed alternating as soloists, all 5 performed the last song as a group, the artists had fun and the audience laughed at their ditties which unfortunately we didn't understand. An experience we will gladly remember.

Fantastic spot to listen to beautiful fado and enjoy a delicious meal! This is the oldest fado restaurant in Alfama. We heard three different singers to get a range of fado styles and performance. The fixed menu meal was great with lots of choices to select from. Both kids and adults enjoyed this experience!

We came here for the first time in 2017 and have been back many over the years. If you would like to experience fado, this is absolutely the place to do it. It’s one of the oldest fado houses in Lisbon and you can feel the energy walking into the very old building with its tiny door ways. The food has always been incredible and always very traditional. They have great Portuguese wines as well. The service has always been very friendly. The fado musicians have always been quite impressive, even a couple that are in their 80s! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Lisbon, it’s a must visit!
