Living abroad, it is a pleasure to eat our wonderful Portuguese cuisine. I hadn't been to Belém for about 4 years and I really wanted to eat the famous Belém pastries again. I had an incredible memory. This year, August 2024, I left with a feeling of deception and tremendous disappointment. I'm not mistaken and anyone who knows what a pastel de Belém is knows that the latter are no longer of the same quality.
Banal quality where the guy on the corner sells his pastel de nata of the same quality.
The tuna toast didn't even have cheese... and everything was dry.
The only thing that was good was the chicken thighs. Coincidence... I hope you don't lose the true wisdom of making true Portuguese cuisine.
A shame because the place is magical but it has become a factory making money for tourists who fill their bellies with anything.
Until one day, maybe...

Really, the best egg tart restaurant...
Natajip is a must-eat when you come to Lisbon.
The takeout line moves quickly, so don't give up. Just wait in the takeout line and buy at least 6 haha.
It’s really delicious so people eat it a lot haha.

This place is the origin of the famous Portugese “Pastéi de Nata” pastry which is called “Pastéis de Belém”. It’s a big place, the taste is great and it is simply a must visit in my opinion. Prices fair! There will be a que but in 15 minutes you will get your reward!

Belém Classics and the Original!
A perfect stop for those who want to try the Belém pastel and make that comparison with the custard tart hahah I loved it, I found it with less vanilla and less egg too, in my opinion better than the custard tart, without a doubt.

Good and delicious food. But the person serving the table was very quick and didn't take the time to explain. As a tourist I like it when they explain to me what they sell and people were in a hurry. I didn't like the attention

Portugese Nata pastry based on a recipe dating back several hundred years ago was more of a novelty than culinary delight. Queues were long, service mediocre, and the taste was...well, as you would expect a carb, sugar, and warm custard combination to taste like.

He says he sells Milkshakes, but it's chocolate milk, the Belém pastries were better, the Eclair dough wasn't quite right.

I have known this place for ever but in the last few years they have changed quality for money machine. Last time there the pastry was hard and very difficult to eat and the service was slowww and rude. Not back any more as there are now better places in Lisbon.

This place is really... really delicious.
I've eaten a lot in two cities, Lisbon and Porto.
First of all, the filling is really filling and has a rich taste.
The pastry is important and it is very crispy and has an amazing texture.
