We only ordered one portion of fries, which we could only eat halfway, weren't really crispy and weren't really seasoned well. The employees were actually quite friendly so far. The atmosphere is, well, it's not 100% clean etc.

Near the Discovery Museum. Great value for money. The octopus salad was wonderful. The crab filling was very tasty, but requires an additional piri piri sauce to enhance the flavor. Accompanied by toasted bread with butter. The shrimp stew I found to have few shrimp.

Fantastic location on the water, next to the discoveries monument! Quite a busy place but they were very happy to give us a table. We had some drinks, which were served promptly and with great courtesy. Great display of fresh seafood. Prices looked reasonable enough for the location. We definitely will back for more!

Very good service, colorful like crabs. Unfortunately, there is no fishing. Everything they have is very tasty.

Wonderful food. The Portugália sauce that accompanies some dishes is divine. I had the Shrimp Açorda which was absolutely delicious.

On a very hot day it is better to stay inside. The terraces are busy but there were seats even without reservations. There are more restaurants on the seafront, but I went for the Portuguese steak. I wasn't disappointed, the Brás mushrooms are also very good.

As Portugália is a national "institution", it must try to maintain the right to this status. The one in Belém, in particular, is slowly losing quality. Tasty food. However, sangria is served at room temperature as there is no ice. Dinner at 10:45 pm (restaurant par excellence chosen for its late hour) with all the noise of end-of-day tidying up and the smell of cleaning products all around us. All the animation and dialogue of the young employees as if they were already behind closed doors. Several customers still at the table although it wouldn't be justified even if we were the only ones. I would like to highlight the sympathy of the older employee who discreetly tried to overcome these shortcomings and who, as they did not depend on him, was not successful but for whom I thanked him. I think there is "room" to return to the quality it became known for (excellent food, competence, time and place).

Very bad food, no freshness or taste. The place is outdated, dirty and very expensive for the services offered.

I was having lunch on 07/20/2024.
The first employee who helped me was rude and very rude to speak. The second one was nicer. We ordered 2 starters and one of them didn't appear. The steak with the sauce was good but the orange juice, which should have been natural and only orange, had water mixed in it.
Overall, I didn't like going there.

A restaurant with excellent views of the Tagus River. Excellent atmosphere and very good food.
Of all the restaurants I've seen in Portugalia, the most beautiful one has an excellent location.

I've never eaten so badly, or rather, I haven't eaten. I'm still looking for the cod on my plate. Bacalhau a Brás without cod, all bound with raw egg. Hamburger ordered for the kids. We were served chopped steak with poorly cut and unseasoned cherry tomatoes. Finally, the desserts included in the children's menus were never served.
Completely poor service, servers not very available and downright evasive after complaints.
You will understand......... Avoid at all costs
Live around the corner and eat fluently at this place. The update of the menu was longly overdue, it comes however with some buts. The Pata Negra ham in the menu is in my eyes a must in every Marisqueira. As a recommendation to the management they should buy Señorio de Olivenza instead of 5Js. We used to eat the creme the marisco at least 3 times a week in this Portugália and it was by far the tastiest in and around Lisbon. With the update of the menu it has been transformed into a thick potato soup with a touch of shrimps (note: 1/10).
Typical for Portugália was also to serve their pregos with french fries and the typical Portugália butter sauce was their signature. Now you get a classic Prego that you eat elsewhere for €3-5 around Lisbon. How can you destroy your signature dish that made you famous?!?
Also the shrimps are much smaller in size now.
All in all I am disappointed with this update, but do believe that the bad things can still be reversed.

I came to this restaurant once again because I love the Gambás a Brás dish. I am negatively surprised because the dish in question was removed from the menu. I spoke to the manager who confirmed that the dish was very popular and that other customers had already complained. I suggest you review the menu again and replace the Possums a Brás.
