Food: 1
We booked a table here through hotel, a couple on wedding anniversary. Restaurant wasn't busy, there was only 1 big table, with small, loud kids in at the time. They sat us there, initially, but we asked for a different table as we enjoy a quiet meal. Not a problem at all. Next I ordered a bottle of wine, and my husband also ordered beer. Beer didn't arrive at all, we had to ask for it halfway through the meal, whilst Wine did arrive, but they got my husband to taste it..I would have expected to be this person since I was the person that ordered the wine ? If this was an honest mistake, it's forgivable, but it seems to me it could have been more of a sexist assumption? Further more I ordered a main and a side to share - purposeful those were Indian dishes I had many times before elsewhere, considere a classic. They would be normally, naturally dairy free, and the no cream was listed on menu ingredients either. I am lacose intolerant. My main and our side came out drizzled with cream. Not only was it completely unnecessary and it didn't compliment the dishes' look in any way, it wasn't a listed ingredient in a classic, normally dairy free dishes. I queried the cream and waiter seemed unbothered. I mentioned lacose intolerance, again waiter didn't seem to get it, so I tried explaining no milk/ cream, until he finally took both dishes back - brought them back after a short time. I think they just stirred them to hide the cream, as it didn't take long to bring a replacement.- not ' decorated' this time. Oh another clue-stomac ache that followed...avod this restaurant. We wanted to pay the bill, and kept being ignored, so my husband went to the bar to pay it. Really wasn't worth it though... should have just left....
What a beautiful spot to have your dinner with an amazing view on the beach! Had dinner here with my mom and we had a wonderful time, good food and good service! Also we saw the blue moon (once in 4 years) coming up and lightning up the beach, never to forget! Thank you ?
The manager was very rude - he did not want to give us a table even though the restaurant was empty so we walked out without eating
Lovely restaurant & great food. Service was excellent, we were an Indian family of 10 people, adults & children. Food was enjoyed by all. Definitely recommend this Punjabi Indian restaurant
It was a lovely evening, such nice and polite service, even though I was alone I didn’t feel alone at all, they made me feel so welcome and accompanied :) the food was delicious and I loved it! Special compliments to the Chef that is not only a great cook but a great host too!!
Catered for 26 of us and received great service. The whole Staff Team were friendly and the food was a great standard. Initially there were a couple of issues with missing main courses - which was understandable with such a large group. Thankfully, they were immediately resolved and we all received our food. Their wealth of patience will be remembered and we will definitely be visiting again.
We have visited The Raj restaurant a number of times before on previous holidays and always found to be excellent. Vicki was always so accommodating, he wasn’t there on this occasion and it showed. Unfortunately this time it was terrible. Wanted to sit outside but was told it wasn’t available. The food was wrong when it arrived. The waiter looked like he didn’t want to be there. They didn’t ask if everything was ok or come and see if we needed any more drinks. We could hear the chef shouting at someone in the kitchen. I asked for a drink of lemonade and he just brought the bottle over. I asked for a glass and the waiter rolled his eyes at me. This evening 4 groups of people left before being seated. Very disappointed.
Lovely location with great views over the ocean. The food was good as was the service. Plenty of veggie options.

Food ok here, staff are pretty miserable, no interaction, plus why bother having outdoor seating when it’s not used, what a waste of space, a lovely outside night and your stuck indoors, may as well pull outside part down. Spoilt night, I wont be back when I return next year.
Wonderful restaurant, top recommended for Armacao De Pera. The staff were professional, the restaurant flawless, service fantastic, and food so impressive. Thank you for a lovely evening.
When we arrived at the restaurant, we asked if we could have a table outside, we we’re actually told NO,I could see several unoccupied tables, which needed clearing, but was told this would take 20 minutes to do. The waiter clearly didn’t want us to sit outside, for whatever reason. We opted to sit inside, and the outside tables remained uncleared for the remainder of our visit, giving the place a very untidy appearance. We ordered 2 butter chicken, pilau rice, and garlic nan. The whole meal tasted like a supermarket ready meal, and to be honest I couldn’t even tell you what curry we were eating. It certainly didn’t taste like butter chicken. That’s because what we’d actually been served was a Balti. We gave the staff including the chef our feedback but this fell on deaf ears. They just gave us the bill, we paid and left.we couldn’t be bothered with them. Lots of room for improvement regarding the food and customer service.Definitely won’t return.
Frosty reception Sat outside. Immediately given papadoms and pickles- didn't even ask for them. Onion salad smothered in vinegar, I asked for a non pickled version, I was told NO. Not impressed with this waiter's attitude so far. The Brazillian one. NO tarka dal on the menu. - crappy excuse. "THE MENU CHANGED LAST WEEK." How many times have I heard this old chestnut. 12euro for a chana masalla? No thanks. Not ordering a starter. Too basic. Ordered chicken jalfrezi and pilau rice. If I don't get fresh green chili (as advertised on the menu), I'm going to complain. Starters plates left for ages after eating. No attention from anyone at all. Very much feeling neglected now. If you dine, don't sit outside near the side railings. Too many flowers and too many bees and wasps. Also flies. Just noticed, a new waiter finally cleared the table and NO eye contact. Again, left alone after the main course. (Which I left most of because the chicken was like leather and the sauce had NO, I repeat NO fresh green chilli's as advertised.) Meanwhile, the food is congealing on the plates in front of us as the sun goes down. (Fortunately, the darkness is hiding the mess left on the table). Once the table was cleared, the waiter asked in everything was okay (finally)... (Well, half cleared. Phils main dish was left behind). I told him the chicken was very dry (pointing to the half eaten serving dish, full of leathery chicken). He said. "I'll tell the chef". Then carried on serving other customers, going nowhere near the kitchen, or the chef. Asked for bill and left. No apologies or any sorry comments. Food bland, service crap. Avoid at all costs.
We were staying at the Holiday Inn and decided to visit this restaurant attached to the hotel. The food was excellent nad the presentation was first class.
