We don't really go to restaurants spontaneously anymore, but when we walked past the food looked so good that we wanted to try it. Luckily there was still a table and we were very, very positively surprised. So much so that we made reservations here again for the next day. The white sangria in particular is really tasty, tangy, fruity, not too sweet and well chilled. I had the prawns in garlic sauce as a starter and it was simply incredible: perfectly roasted, very strong garlic flavor, spiciness and freshness from the lemongrass. The fish of the day was the most tender I have ever eaten in my life. Plus the prices are really fair. The São Jorge is definitely worth a visit!

Elegant restaurant with a beautiful design. It is located very close to the castle, a somewhat touristy restaurant. The environment is pleasant. Refined and elegant cuisine. A little expensive, understandable given the area it is in and the quality.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. When I saw steak tartare on the menu, I was excited to finally be able to try one. Unfortunately, after placing my order, the waiter came back to inform me that they did not have the dish in stock. How can a restaurant display a dish on the menu and not be able to serve it? It is a blatant lack of professionalism and respect for customers. I won't be returning and I strongly advise against this place for anyone looking for a reliable culinary experience.
