The food came pretty fast. Not the best sushi but acceptable. I was disappointed they didn't have everything on the menu and they didn't say anything about it, only after i asked why my order had not arrived yet, the waitress said that kind of fish finished at lunch time.

I have been a consumer of the Sakura chain for years. I've been going to the Oeiras and Lisbon units for a long time, and this one in Cascais is definitely UNACCEPTABLE. Old fish, hard rice, raw shrimp. Terrible sushi, no presentation. A horrible experience. DON'T COME TO THIS

All the fried foods full of oil, the hot salmon pieces, everything is beyond salty. It was the worst sushi experience I've ever had

The environment is good. The food acceptable. Serving time is extremely long. I won't go back. They urgently need to change the sushi Man....

The food is phenomenal for the price, and the unlimited food for 19.99 is a steal! Highly recommend if your looking for Japanese/sushi in the area

Dear Sakura restaurant & staff,
Thank you for the service and food.
I came 2 weeks ago with my toddler and her buggy all upstairs (with the help of my husband, who left, as he doesn't like sushi). Your staff was ready to assist me when I would leave (Taking the buggy down). A polite young lady came to explain the ALL YOU CAN EAT MENU (on a monitor) and the elder woman made sure things went fine. Sad enough my toddler woke up within minutes and she had high fever! I had to stop my all you can eat dinner after only a few bites. The elder lady sent the young girl into the bathroom to assist me with my toddler (cause they noticed the babygirl was ill and to open thebbaby-changing-table)
As an exception they packed a little bit of sushi. If I would have stayed, I would have probably eaten more and also some meat, but this exception was of course made cause they could see my daughter was red, crying non stop and I was totally tensed. In the end I was really happy with their exception and i could leave very fast, back to the hotel. The circumstances were like this and the restaurant adapted to my situation and I am truly greatfull for their service and understanding. Every year we return to Portugal and certainly I'll visit next year their restaurant again. I only made 1 picture, as after it my baby woke up, but the sushi was really beautiful made, tasted good and I am just so thankful for the help and care. Restaurant looks btw fine. Its not a 5 stars look, but definitely a place to enjoy your meal peacefully. THE ALL YOU CAN EAT WAS €19,95, drink around 2 euro (ans for those who are curious: my daughter was a week later again fit).

Restaurantji Recommends
I already go to other restaurants with the same name in other locations and I've always loved it, I decided to visit the one in Cascais, the area where I live. To begin with, half of the items on the tablet were out of stock… there was almost nothing other than sushi available.
I ordered an octopus salad which was served to me with 5 pieces of octopus and a sweet sauce... the sashimi I ordered was completely spicy, when all dishes were requested without spicy and supposedly there would be no problem.
The only thing that was good was definitely the wine, if I had ordered sangria I might have been disappointed too. I don't recommend it, for those who really like sushi, not to visit Sakura.

Unfortunately very disappointing ☹️with one of the worst sushi I have ever eaten. Even if it seems comparatively cheap because it's all you can eat, it's better to look for quality and not quantity ? definitely not again for me ??
I've been to this restaurant 3 times and overall the experience was great.
We always opt for the buffet for lunch. The food is always fresh and well prepared. The "breaded" prawns are great and the squid excellent. The potato balls are good to accompany and original. The breaded chicken is also usually very good and the sauce they put on top is divine. The smoked salmon sushi is also one of my favorites.
In general, I think the food is well prepared and has a lot of quality and flavor, as well as some variety, although I think that sometimes the pasta lacks a little more of that same flavor.
The staff are very friendly and always available. As for the atmosphere, on weekdays it tends to be quiet, on weekends it can get a little noisy if it's busy and the order can also take longer to arrive.
Regarding the price, I think it might be a little more expensive than normal but it ends up making up for the quality of the food and given its location I don't think it's unreasonable.
