Knew about this place for many years, as it is located right next to a print shop where i used to get my university papers and projects, but i never happened to actually stop by.... Until now!Since i resumed my studies recently, i needed to print some laws i'm currently studying, i went to the aforementioned print shop and, since i'm a croissant aficionado i decided to stop by Sam Croissants. The experience, however, was, unfortunately, a bit disappointing. The service was good. Because i had never been there before i asked the lady at the counter for some reccomendations about the available options to snack (it was around 5pm), to which she politely complied.I went for the obvious chocolate croissant coupled with a pineapple/mint juice since it was one of their custom menus. The croissant was stale and dry and it definitely didn't taste like a freshly baked croissant ought to taste. The chocolate tasted like nutella (probably was) and it was good. The juice was okay for what it is. I'm not a big fan of mint seasoned juices and i only ordered this one because of it being included in their menu. It tasted okay, it was mildly pleasant to drink and complemented the croissant very well. The environment and ambience was, probably, the strongest point of Sam Croissants. It's young, stylish and cozy.Because of the close proximity to local universities, most of the costumers were young students stopping by to have an afternoon snack. As someone who holds very strong nostalgic memories from university days, it was rather pleasing to return to that place and see that all that changed were the people's faces. All in all, i enjoyed my time in Sam Croissants more because of the nostalgia and the young and jovial vibe of the place. I wouldn't return for the food, though, as there are way better pastries in the city.

I used to study and live there, and I had a lot of good memory there. This Saturday I went there with the kid and wanted to share with him my experience, and the lady was not nice AT ALL. My kid was attracted by the Christmas tree and wanted to touch the little ball on the tree, the grandmother was next to him to make sure he was not destroying anything, however the lady immediately complaint to me and after knowing that we don't speak Portuguese she pointed the kid with fingers and said No No, in a very uncomfortable and rude way, no smile at all since we entered into the shop. The good mood in the morning was destroyed completely so I just took away one small croissant and leave immediately. The price is good I agree, yet the quality is not meeting expectation (the croissant is not fresh and the choices are limited).

Bland food! Lacks everything that makes food appetising… there are better croissant shops in Lisbon for sure
In addition to croissants and friendliness, there are quick meals, including the Bifana menu.
Excellent croissants.
Disappointing. They didn't even have ice for the juice.

I went to the establishment on a working day, around 10am, but it was closed.
Great quality, very cold and distant service
Good croissants, but a limited range of filling options. When, for example, almond?
The staff is generally friendly, but not very active. There are usually a lot of people at the counter and few people getting up and cleaning the tables.
Good croissant, with a lot of variety.
Excellent price/quality ratio
