We came to this place for our last dinner in Lisbon. It was Sunday and at 9.30pm we thought we wouldn't find a place anywhere; we stopped here in front and, also following the advice of a couple of tourists (even if they seemed to be regular customers), we decided to go in. We didn't regret it. The menu is not very rich (there are only four main dishes), but the quality is excellent. The house "bacalhau" is recommended. The owner is very nice and seems to manage everything himself. He recommended the wine to accompany the meal and at the end he prepared some delicious crepes suzette in front of us with his mobile stove. Highly recommended.

Very nice, small restaurant. Arlindo does everything himself, so please bring your time and enjoy it. The food is excellent and his wine recommendations are excellent. We were there during the season. Hopefully also out of season to get more time from Arlindo so that he can tell you more about his city and its excellent wines. We spent our last evening in Lisbon, so we ended our trip with a visit to Corkscrew. It looks like a simple, nice place, like many others... but the owner, who is also a host and server, enriched me with an unusual experience. He is a PhD teacher in Portugal, but he is also at home in the world of wines, cheeses and meats. He runs the bar alone, he is very energetic, it is a pleasure to watch his work, there is no rush, no nervousness, only professional service. We didn't miss my favorite, the flaming chorizo, which is a little smoky, flavorful, and juicy, but we also asked for some cold meats and cheese, that's for sure. The real surprise, however, is when he appears with his little flambé cart and prepares the iconic dessert of the 80s, a divine Crepes Suzette, in front of our eyes, which my partner was able to taste for the first time. It's true that it's a daily calorie, but it was worth every bite :) Later it turns out that he can also cook a great steak in the car, but unfortunately we were already so full of delicacies, and of the full-bodied wines from the Douro Valley, that we didn't have a chance to eat more.
Thank you for the experience, it was a perfect end to our vacation!
