It was a steamed seafood stew that tasted like kimchi soup made by a grandmother in a country house, and it was delicious!! suggestion

The rice is very good, and the man who cooks it is very friendly.

Even if you have a reservation when you arrive, you have to wait a little in line, it goes very fast and it's worth the wait! Delicious rice and very good service! Obrigado!!!

Spectacular rice, definitely worth trying. Unfortunately, the wait was long and the seats were too close together.

Disappointing Experience at UMA

I had high expectations for UMa based on all the glowing reviews online, but my experience was a big letdown. The seafood rice, which should be a highlight, was incredibly bland. Despite the generous amount of seafood, the dish lacked any real seafood flavor, which was surprising and disappointing. The seafood itself was overcooked, tasteless, and barely seasoned. I’ve had much better seafood rice in other parts of Portugal, and this one just didn’t measure up.

As for the service, it was equally disappointing. The staff seemed uninterested in providing a good experience, and some didn’t even seem to speak Portuguese. The man who brought the rice to our table didn’t greet us and looked annoyed the whole time. To top it off, they rushed us through our meal, clearing the table and bringing the bill without us asking, making us feel unwelcome and hurried. Overall, it felt more like being herded like cattle than dining at a restaurant. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Best seafood rice I had in Portugal. I tried a few restaurants serving seafood rice in both Lisbon and Porto.

Definitely must eat !!!

Food not suitable for Italians. Not high quality food, you are sent to another restaurant. At least the waiters were really nice and friendly!

We made a reservation for dinner, but there is a fairly long queue and you have to wait first come, first served, so the reservation was of no use.

They have soupy rice with seafood to eat that was good but nothing special.

It is not a place to repeat

If you want to book, forget it. You show up on time and a man tells you to wait in a huge line and treats you like you're stupid by waving his hand a lot and telling you that it's going fast. If as a local you do not have the ability to adjust reservations and deal with customers, do not put them in the beginning. After 10 minutes without progress we left.

We were recommended by a friend. And everything was perfect. We went early, and we got rid of waiting, because when we left there was a long line. Exceptional service, the waitress was perfect. It has two parts, one for at most 4 people, and the other part for groups. Without a doubt, I would return. Recommended ?/?.
Good price.

The food, rice with pieces of lobster, mussels, some prawns and squid was between good and notable.
It is better not to talk much about the organization. You make reservations days in advance and it's worthless. You have to get in line, behind people who haven't booked, you tell the "person in charge" and it doesn't matter, he tells you to wait...why book?
You have been in line for 30 minutes and they offer you to take your food to another of their locations....why have I waited then? You don't accept and the answer is: you're going to have to wait a long time!!!... Please, with a reservation and an hour to eat???
Visitable?? Yes, but good luck with the wait if you go during rush hour...

Vegetarian options: Unique menu. Rice with lobster

Wheelchair accessibility: Small venue with tables very, very close together9

Tourist. Perfect for eating at the same table with strangers. Stale and tasteless rice. Suffocating heat. In short, not recommended.
