Totally family-friendly place where you will eat very fresh grilled fish. Homemade food 100x100
You share the same table with other customers.
I recommend it, if you are going to eat delicious, cheap, and go somewhere else to have an after-dinner meal.
The only downside is that you come out smelling like charcoal... but it made up for me because of how good the food was.

Verde Minho is a quaint restaurant in a quiet street neer Bairro Alto. It is a typical Portuguese restaurant, with long tables where multiple parties are seated. The restaurant is small, so keep in mind there may not be a free spot if you get there at peak time. We had different kinds of fish, and they were all delectable and very fresh. The classical Portuguese sardines were very tasty, albeit a little difficult to eat since the fish are so tiny. The fish were seemingly all grilled over open flame, with gave them that nice charred flavour. The waiters were all very nice, but do not know a lot of English, just so you know. A tip for any restaurant in Portugal (including this one): if they put some bread with dips and olives in front of you, know they will charge you if you touch it. It’s just how they do it in Portugal, but good to know if you’re traveling there and don’t want any surprise extra charges. Anyways, Minho Verde was a lovely find (because it was 2 mins walking from our airbnb) for authentic Portuguese food.

Definitely go. The taste is guaranteed at the best cost-effectiveness, and you can even watch it being grilled over charcoal! I think there are three owners, but they are all friendly and the salad, potatoes, and rice that come with it are generous, so I ate it well?? ?
There is an English menu and you can pay by card!
I ordered grilled seabass once!

We went to eat because of the good reviews the restaurant had. We wanted to try the cod and they told us there wasn't any. We ate salmon, sardines and chicken, all grilled, generous portions and accompanied with potatoes and salad. The premises and the service leave a lot to be desired.

Excellent, small portuguese restaurant. A few items on the menu, but all made with care. Great hospitality and a general friendly feeling. It definitely does not cater to tourists, it's more of a good neighborhood restaurant.

This place had the best fish we've ever had. The sea bass and salmon were exquisite. Loved the friendliness of the staff too. Was like eating in a family gathering. Highly recommend.

Without a doubt the best typical Portuguese food restaurant to go to.
Quality products, generous portions and homemade desserts.
Highly recommended price quality.
Price per person with dessert approximately 13 euros (drinks included).

Reservations are not accepted, the place is not extremely big but it is worth visiting. Essential stop in Lisbon

I’m not being biased here but the food is great with big portion. However, I went there pretty late just myself(female) one staff was tapping my shoulders and arms really was trying to touch me. I felt super uncomfortable that I have to nudge away. Other than that, when I asked to bring the bill, he got me an espresso which I didn’t ask for (it was 10:30pm and I wasn’t tryna stay up late) When I told him I didn’t order it. He didn’t understand English and insisted me to have it. I thought it was for free or included in the meal. In the end I have to pay for it. It’s ridiculous even tho it’s not a lot of money. I would say don’t go alone especially female.
