We were walking around looking for authentic food and came across this place, nothing fancy at all, but excellent and delicious fresh fish!!!!! Soooo good! Check it out food was delicious
Hidden place away from tourist crowds. Cheap prices and meat grilled right in front of you. Place is tiny and not much place when lot of people. Friendly service and tasty food
I have been coming here for the last 12 years - almost every year and I think it’s the best value restaurant in Lisbon. I’m a little worried to share this because I always think there will come a time when I won’t be able to just walk in. The sardines- when in season are wonderful. Like the chicken it is cooked over a bbq with real coals. Hand cooked chips and salad included A carafe of wine costs 5-6 euros Please don’t come ?
Charming and welcoming guys who work there. We had the sea bass and salmon specials and it was delicious. One of the best meals we had in Portugal! And the price was fantastic. My husband enjoyed watching the guy working at the grill.
Wonderful local food.! We actually came there a second time, because we enjoyed the place and food and atmosphere, very much. It is a family business, or so it seems, and the owners are friendly.
Now with new owners, the food is wonderful, homemade seasoning and made to order! The service is still not good, there is a lack of attention to customers and care for the place and even education on the part of the attendants, but the friendliness and effort of the new owner to improve is visible.
Excellent. Our fish was absolutely fresh and perfectly cooked. Staff were very welcoming, place was packed, great value, good dessert was an added bonus. Not fancy but clean. Highly recommend.
New Management and it seems to me that there is finally more order inside, it seemed more clean, it seemed to me that they no longer serve late cakes, I already had lunch there and liked it, they changed the brand of coffee and honestly I didn't like it, but there is still a lot to improve , they should clean the tables more frequently, especially those on the terrace, have more variety and better quality cakes and gradually do away with the usual alcoholic ones, because these are old habits. And by the way, we miss our former employee Raquel, who was the Alma do verde mel, let's believe that with this new management, much more can be done, that that space can be a café for several families.
Very good
A good patisserie a little expensive perhaps.

Month of August bakery in operation ?? nearby other bakeries closed for holidays.Pleasant breakfast in a quiet place on weekdays in the morning at 9:45 am.
I have been a customer for a long time and I really like the atmosphere and, above all, the quality, availability and friendliness of the staff. Also noteworthy is the quality of the pastry products. I always, almost daily, go to the Café and I'm always very satisfied! I hope it continues!!

A pastry shop full of cakes, most of them spoiled, 2 spoiled cakes in a row, the boss still tells me that it was to keep the cakes warm, a shame...
This was the last evening of our trip. We have been disappointed with the restaurants between the river and the squares: they are so similar. We found this place from a personal recommendation. We don’t speak Portuguese and the waiting staff had no English, but with good will everything worked. We were the only non-Portuguese in the building. We both had fish and shared a bottle of green wine. The bill, after conversion, was under £32. It was money well spent. The food is not fine dining, but good, wholesome generous food; well prepared.
It's a quaint little restaurant with great food, service and a warm local ambiance. We really enjoyed our meal here!
