Gorgeous setting, fabulous views over to Spain. Friendly and efficient service. The menu is small, but the food is great. We had baked camembert with herbs, lovely olives and a good salad. We visited last year, and I had stuffed portobello mushrooms, which were off the menu this time. That's a shame, because they were delicious and good to get a decent vegan/vegetarian option. Would certainly recommend this place, we had a lovely relaxing afternoon here, thank you.

????????
This is a fairly good place for a coffee, beer, glass of wine or snack. Coffees were not the cheapest we have had in Portugal, particularly for a self-service place. There are a fairly large number of tables, some with fine views over the Guadiana river and the small Spanish town of Sanlucar de Guadiana, just across the river. I agree with some posters that service can be a little bit slow as there seems to be only one lady running the place by herself. Note that there is no table service. You have to order at the counter.
