An extraordinary experience in an unlikely place. If you're looking for something everyday, don't come here. If you're looking for something different and with quality, you won't be disappointed. I recommend. Kids friendly.

A meal that generated a mix of very good (the savory dishes in general, with a focus on the pork dish with rice and also what I'm going to call curry, as I'm not sure that's the name) and poor, the desserts (no one of the group liked both offers) and the fact that the red wine ordered, a good suggestion, was not at the correct temperature (in a restaurant of this level this should not happen). The result was a wine that was too hot at first and, after a period in a bucket of ice, became too cold.

This is one of the best restaurants I have been to in Portugal. By no means inexpensive, but worth every cent. I don't drink alcohol but my Brother inlaw who is a bit of a wine Fundy, said that the collection was superior and the Servers knowledge of wines was outstanding. They speak the international and we'll so that is always a great help. An adventure worth having if you have a few extra loose coins rather notes in your pocket......

Good service. We thought the food was very expensive (tasting menu 2 €80pp) and not to our taste. Also, some of the food was very bland and other food had some strange mix of taste. Sorry for the review, but this was only our personal taste. We are sure that others will like this restaurant.

Upscale gourmet restaurant. Price commensurate with the service as well as the quality of the dishes. We recommend without hesitation. However, we would have liked it to be a little slower between each course. We left feeling like we had eaten way too much

Wonderful upscale eatery with a refined menu and a staff who seems to sincerely care about the whole experience. The food is changing a bit all the time, we tried the tasting menu and everything was great along side an extra seafood pastry off the main menu. The wine selection is carefully crafted and the team really does pour love into their craft from the front of the house to the back of the house. Bravo

If you are staying in or near to Loulé then dinner at Café Zique is a must. Beautiful setting including a terrace next to the castle walls which is stunning at golden hour. Inside is cosy too. Food it creative and uses local ingredients in a contemporary way, the menu changes often and is always surprising and delightful. The wine list is also great and alot of work goes into finding interesting Portuguese wines to go with the dishes. Staff very knowledgeable and kind.We have also been to a few of the pop up events which are always very refreshing and interesting - the last one was focused on the Portuguese traditional dish of Rabanada, their version of french toast, prepared by some of the Algarves best chefs! We learnt alot about it's cultural significance and ate very well indeed.Highly recommend and so great to have restaurants like this in the Algarve that are both extremely well executed but also super cosy, casual and welcoming.Go here!

A repetir!

-5 review on food, tried the tasting menu … worst meal I’ve ever had in my life. Don’t waste your time, taste buds or money.Chef tries to make “all Portuguese” but has no soul in his food. There’s no good combination of flavors and each dishes lacks completion. We couldn’t finish a single meal and ended up getting pizza afterwards to wash down the experience. The service and atmosphere was great, but the waiters watched us (all 3 of them) each meal. It was hard after a while to be nice and pretend that the food wasn’t as awful as it actually was.

A chance discovery but very pleasant! Exceptional setting, attentive servers. Sophisticated, quality cuisine! Be careful of the bill which can quickly add up. We recommend for those who appreciate good restaurants!

Stunning place in a lovely town. We had the chefs menu and were blown away, really amazing cooking skills in a kitchen smaller than most people's bathroom. Wines also really good. Highly recommended, sit on the rooftop if you can.
