“We came here for lunch and ate some really delecious starters at the roof top. Since it was soooo good, we made a reservation for diner that same day. The chef knows what he's doing. The chef's wife, who served us, is super friendly. Will definitely come back if we're in Loulé again. Keep up the good work guys ❤️“

“Brasas is spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. The food is excellent in a very Portuguese grill/barbacue way. We had grilled baby squid and also grilled chicken... both excellent. Service is outstanding. Beers and beer glasses are super chilled. Highly recommend“
“We stopped on our way to the mines. My boyfriend likes the little restaurants. Its a local restaurant. The two ladies who served is were very sweet. Although no on spoke english we all did our best to understand eachother. The food was amazing and the prices were fantastic. Definetely would recommend.“

“We went there on a carnival day. Perhaps that's why the restaurant was extremely full and the waiters were running in all directions, which made us feel stressed. Our starters were forgotten but the dishes were quite copious and the dessert excellent: the perfect waitress Well done to She !“

“Haven‘t tasted such special dishes and combinations in a while, this place is one of a kind! staff are super friendly and welcoming and more than happy to accomodate special dietary needs like allergies. many dishes can be ordered vegan (as labelled on the menu), some are vegan anyway. dishes are a bit smaller, you eat tapas-style and get to share everything - if you want to 😁 10/10 would recommend.“
“I ordered the largest açai. The acai itself was pretty good. I give it an 8/10. When I asked for it too big, the end melted, but I was left wanting to continue eating. I put all the fruit they had available and it was very good (banana, kiwi, mango and grated coconut). They had neither forest fruits nor strawberries left. They had a lot of variety of granola and toppings.Good value for money. The largest cost €8.9 and the cheapest €5.5. I have tried many acai in Spain and I would order it again, although it is not the best in my life.“

“Small family-run restaurant a stone's throw from the center of Faro, the owner welcomed us in an extremely kind and friendly way, the fish Cataplana was an experience to absolutely try, all at a more than excellent price! We will definitely be back!“

“Absolutely fantastic food and service. We wanted a break from fish (they also serve fresh fish) and ordered the Argentinian Picanha with cheese for 2 as it was recommended by the server. The meat is delicious and well cooked, and it is a large portion which includes fries, rice, beans and the best chorizo I tried to date. The oranges and grilled pineapple were also a nice touch. Bring cash and your appetite.“

“We shared a few plates for dinner, we enjoyed everything. The location is great, they have a nice terrace in a pedestrian street for the summer. Service is professional and we didn’t wait too much for the food to arrive. Prices are a bit high for Faro though.“

“Great authentic food that tasted fresh and was made mild per our request. Only one road away from the Marina and definitely the best Indian place in Vilamoura. Plenty of vegetarian options if needed and service was also very friendly. Thanks for a great meal !
Vegetarian options: Veg section of the menu with plenty of options“

“The nest Indian restaurant we’ve been to. Unbelievable food and service. Everyone was so pleasant. What a pleasure. We were actually just looking to have a beer and watch our Canadian player on TV, Felix Aliessime play. Then decided on the food. So glad we did. We’ll be back.“

“great prices in the center of Faro, also because today it is really hard to find salads for less than €16! Both salads and sandwiches are really good. Only advice: speed up the service a little and specify the constraints of the islands☺️“

“Found this restaurant tonight.. A hidden gem.Delicious food and the service was excellent. The staff are so engaging with their customers all evening and so kid friendly . They do simple food very well and really excellent prices. Worth a try just 2 minute wall off the marina . Fantastic service ? I'll ne back“
“I was really looking forward to eating here! Sadly they had a few things missing from the menu and they never told us beforehand! The cheese plate and the veggie stew were both missing, which is what my parents were going for! They chose the risotto in the end, but somehow they only made one so they asked them to share until they made the other one (20-30 mins more, we were all finished by then). Didn't offer anything to compensate for the mistake. On top of that, you also couldn't really taste the butternut squash in the risotto. The wait time was also really long, over an hour. Hence, I will rate the service as disappointing, however the food was really cook especially their fake fish (tofu)! It's wrapped in multiple layers of seaweed and tastes lovely and healthy! Would've been nice to have a brown rice option though! We also ordered croquettes with vegan cashew cheese, which were amazing, my dad (big meat eater) absolutely loved them! Atmosphere was nice with candles in the toilet and small lights around the room, however, we found there was not plenty of space between the tables. Also outdoor seating would've been nice, but the location doesn't allow for that. Overall good place, but disappointed about the service.“

“Very good cataplana, we ordered the monkfish and seafood one, there were 2 of us, we had plenty left over and it was spectacular, we couldn't resist trying the fig pudding either. Highly recommended for quality, price and the treatment of the waiter and the cook who came to ask. It is not the typical tourist place, a local restaurant with traditional Portuguese food where what mattered was the food, not the decoration.“

“Surprise, surprise....our first time in Faro and full on 15 in the choice of restaurant for dinner.
Beautiful place, very friendly and professional staff.
More than correct cheese board to share and taste.
The gyozas are very delicious, the cheek bao is very good and the steak with egg and potatoes is an excellent meat in terms of treatment and quality.
Total success.
Contribution from the guide Danielin, try the economical and very surprising Alentejo wines Tinto don Gabriel reserva brutal.
It is a success to stop at this excellent restaurant.
Parking: At night it's easier than during the day“

“Small bar near the historic center of the city but away from the hustle and bustle. The treatment of us by the staff was incredible. I highly recommend the francesinha, it is important to order homemade potatoes to accompany and dip in its sauce because it is truly incredible, the best I have ever tasted, and the seafood rice, for one person the portion is quite large. With these two dishes without any starter we ended up quite full, without a doubt a place to repeat and recommend.“

“Amazing food. Really innovative flavour combinations that all worked really well. We had an amazing time trying a selection of the smaller dishes and are excited to come back to try the large plates!
Make sure to bring cash, would highly recommend as a must try!“

“Really good selection of cocktails (€6.50 in happy hour!). Had a mango daiquiri which was really nice and very refreshing. The decoration inside is amazing and very inspiring and the outdoor seating is also lovely with a view of the village and pool. Staff were very friendly and spoke good English so no laugh barrier as well - they accommodated our larger party size and even shuffled some umbrellas to provide us shade!!
Can't comment on the food but for a few drinks at happy hour this would be a string recommendation for sure.“

“January 23, 2024: For seven years we have been visiting Casa da Barreira on our trips to Sao Bras to enjoy a hot drink and a piece of cake. The standard hot drinks are a Bica cheia and a Meia de leite - you probably won't get better in the Algarve. The cakes today were a bolo de amêndoa with a fabulously airy dough under a dense layer of wonderfully sweet and sticky almond slivers and a bolo de abóbora (pumpkin cake) - recommended!“
“The cheapest coffee in town! After spending every penny in different coffee shops in Faro, we found this little shop and we got surprised with the bill, less than 5€ for 2 coffee latte (Galão) and 2 pastries.Good taste and good atmosphere with locals.“

“We came to this restaurant a bit by chance...we were looking for a simple restaurant far from cars and with freshness. This was the case, the meal and the dessert were exquisite: very fragrant and very fresh, all on a quiet little plot sheltered by a tree! We recommend!!“
“While vacationing in Quarteira we came across this restaurant off a side street. Really happy we did. My husband and I had a pitcher of Sangria which was excellent. My brother & I had swordfish with lemon and capers which was cooked perfectly and very tasty. My husband and sister-in-law had beef kabobs which were tender and juicy. Cappuccinos and espresso martini's finished the meal perfectly. Highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.“

“What a wonderful meal. We left Check-in for our last evening in Faro, where we had eaten well every day of our stay. However, this was the highlight. Beautiful plates that celebrated the ingredients rather than smothering them in other flavours. The starters were particularly delicious, and we loved the menu - it was difficult to choose! The highlight for me was the slow-cooked octopus, which was so soft it melted in the mouth. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, and the building (which I believe they moved into quite recently) is lovely. The restaurant’s own wine made for a good glass too! The price-quality was excellent. We have dined in many Michelin-started restaurants and, whilst this doesn’t have a star (yet!), it definitely deserved the accolade of being in the guide. Would return without hesitation.“
“They offer a lot vegan options, also in the daily menu! We had 4 different tapas (which was recommended) and that was very enough for 2 people. Everything was so delicious! The vibe is nice & and the waitress was very friendly. Reservation is recommended.“

“We were served promptly in a lovely shaded dining area. Our drinks were brought quickly and our food followed soon after. We preferred the ‘light and crispy’ waffle to the more dense ‘buttery’ waffle. Both were delicious though. Great portion sizes and so good for sharing. We will definitely visit again. €5,80 for waffle with ice cream and fresh cream plus toppings. What a bargain!“

“We stopped in this little place for a very early evening meal before we got a flight home. I was very pleased to see traditional Portuguese dishes on the menu, and we both ordered the Francesinha sandwich. No idea how close it is to a traditional one as we haven't tried it, but both of us enjoyed this vegan version. It came with a vegan 'egg' on top complete with runny yolk, which was my favourite part. There was also vegan versions of traditional bakes on offer. There's not much signage inside so we didn't realise there was upstairs seating and just ate at the single table downstairs. Card payment was accepted, thankfully as I was running out of Euros.“

“They've been the pizza of choice at home for years and honestly, even a visit to the restaurant is good because the friendliness of the staff is spectacular. We have never had a bad experience at the restaurant. The home delivery time is actually quite long compared to what we are used to, but we started picking up the pizzas from the place and they are ready in 20 minutes.“

“Great atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly barista and roaster. They roast their beans themselves more in the medium dark range. Beans on sale and for drink have been Peruvian and Ethiopian at the time I visited.
Mellow slightly sweet and not too juicy taste as iced Americano.
I loved the atmosphere and the interaction.
Thank you“
