A wonderful dining experience. The ace are the window seats, be sure to request when making your reservation. But even if you are not seated there, that does not detract from the exceptinal food (including everything we saw leave the kitchen!). We started with pastéis bacalhau & goats cheese and honey, followed by pork and steak. Dessert of bolo de chocolate & strawberries. As it was a special occasion, we had a lovely bottle of bubbles. A perfect way to spend a special afternoon. We will return for sunset dining soon.

We had an amazing Sunday lunch in Alta. The view, food and service were memorable and spectacular. It was lovely chatting to Jenni and Julie who run the restaurant and the kitchen. Your mums croquettes were delicious ?. We will definitely come back and the next time we will stay in one of your bungalows.

This restaurant holds outdoor events with music audible for miles, as was today 07/19/2024. They do not accept requests to reduce noise so that children in the neighborhood can sleep. They must feel that they have the right to prevent other people's peace so that their business can benefit. In Canada, where they came from, it is unlikely that they could do such a thing.

Beautiful location, but unfortunately we went for the whole experience! Food was good but probably over priced. My first thoughts were it's got to be good as it was busy and expensive so was looking forward to a great dining experience. Sadly they didn't deliver, waited far too long before anyone took drinks order. Waited even longer for food 25 minutes inbetween first course to mains. Starters didn't all come out at the same time and we were only a table of 4. Waitress was lovely and very apologetic, management could not of cared less. Well under staffed for a restaurant of this size. Would not recommend and will not return.

I regret to inform you that my recent dining experience at Alta Restaurant on the occasion of my birthday celebration was profoundly disappointing. The customer service had significantly declined, and the wait times between courses were unacceptably long. Our starters were served at irregular intervals, and there was an excessive 30-minute delay in clearing them. The same issue recurred with our main meals.
I endeavoured to provide constructive feedback to the manager, Jennifer, but she was unreceptive and dismissive of our concerns. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied, and I am unable to recommend Alta Restaurant to others.
In addition, the restaurant was severely understaffed, which further exacerbated our unpleasant experience.
I trust that this feedback will be taken into consideration to improve the overall dining experience for future patrons.

Dishes and service are above average, the view is fantastic. What a beautiful place. We found it a blemish that the starters were not served at the same time (there was at least 5 minutes between them) and that the fries were not crispy as requested; too salty after cooking.

Went for a meal tonight after reading the fantastic reviews, All I can say is "Extremely disappointing !" Not with the food, which was excellent. The place itself is in a great location, but the service is beyond terrible ! Menu was delivered as we sat down and was approximately 20 mins before any orders were taken. The starters were than delivered at different times rather than all together which was not a good start to the meal. The dirty plates were left for an unacceptable 20mins before being cleared. No excuse or reason given by any waiting staff as to why this was the case. The Main courses did arrive together, but at this point we were feeling overwhelmingly disappointed with the service at this restaurant. These issues were brought to the attention of the management, but nothing addressed, so felt compelled to leave this review. If you want great dining experience, this restaurant really comes up short !

Very good food with a creative touch. Of course, the great fish dishes are recommended. The location is a dream - slightly elevated and with a wonderful view over the sea and the coastline. The service was quick and courteous.
