This is probably one of the best codfish restaurants in town. There are plenty of delightful codfish options (bacalhau com broa is my favourite). Super wide wine collection with plenty of choices from budget to high end. The rooms are wonderfully decorated and the staff is friendly and super professional.

Well-prepared food, family atmosphere, friendly and dedicated staff, the only thing I have to comment on is the lack of attention in service, with bread, olives, cutlery, etc. missing, due to an employee with less experience, but despite this, I highly recommend the trip for the place, very welcoming!

Quite simply, if you want to try the most popular fish in Portugal – Cod – then this is the place to go. They have Cod prepared just about any way it can be prepared. I came out of this realizing that cod is not for me. Just kind of salty and fishy for my taste in about every variety. So, to the Americans reading this, if you want to try cod, go here. If cod is not your thing, don’t go here.

This restaurant came highly recommended for the cod, so we booked dinner there tonight. The premises are interesting, bright and clean, although the place is located off the beaten path. The food was good quality and served efficiently if a bit too quickly. The staff are not engaging at all, the atmospheric being one of eat and go. It is just a meal, not an experience. We will go elsewhere next time and not be recommending this to friends.

We had really looked forward to dining here as the place had such great reviews. The interior is lovely and we eagerly awaited our meals enjoying the bread and delicious butters. However the cod cheeks with lime mayonnaise were over cooked, dry and chewy and there was no lime at all in the mayo. Friends had ordered the grilled cod which was so salty as to be inedible. My husband had the confit cod which should have been succulent and tender, but was in fact dry and over cooked. Given the prices and the reputation of the restaurant, we were, as a group, truly disappointed.
We had the opportunity to visit the restaurant as part of our security mission to World Youth Day and Portuguese Police picked this restaurant. They could have done a better job, everyone loved their food. My fried octopus dish was divine. Not rubbery like in a lot of other places… !! Just perfectly balanced with different vegetables! A divine and highly recommended!

We came with high expectations, all lovers of this fantastic produce. But - despite good service and great local wine this was not what we came for. At all. Wonderful ambiance and professional staff, but the kitchen did not deliver. A bit outside city centre.

We went there with a group but several people got sick after this dinner. So the fish we ate was not fresh. One of us even had a parasite that caused symptoms for 2 weeks. Not recommended!
