Casa Velha offers an excellent traditional dining experience with a warm atmosphere. The staff is friendly, and the manager speaks French fluently. The chanfana is a standout dish, with tender meat and simple seasoning, served with accompanying vegetables. Other popular options include cod pataniscas with bean rice and homemade chocolate mousse. While some dishes may have minor flaws, such as a sweet strawberry jam topping or temperature issues, the overall experience is very satisfying.
