It was without a doubt THE WORST restaurant I've ever been to. I paid to LEAVE HUNGRY.
In addition to not having anything on the menu but just two options to choose from, they served us "1 serving" rice on a plate that was enough for 4 spoonfuls (they gave us that for two people).
The rice made me vomit because it was so soggy, dry and flavorless. This extra was worth 2 euros but it wasn't worth it at all.
Next, since we only had two dishes to choose from, we chose a beer steak. The sauce seemed like it was from yesterday and the steak was so small that I just wanted to leave and not pay. The dish included french fries and to my amazement they served us just ONE PLATE of potatoes for two people. To my amazement, I noticed that a person next to me ate the same thing as me and received the same dose of potatoes, and WE WERE TWO PEOPLE.
I questioned what had happened to which the gentleman replied "ah, we put less potatoes in the other customer". Basically, the dish included potatoes, we ordered two steaks but they only brought one potato (full of oil) for one steak.
I'm super sad and disappointed, the price wasn't worth anything and I think this CAFÉ should review some things and change. Otherwise, until closing. A SHAME

Visiting a new place is like looking for a good restaurant to satisfy your hunger. Since I didn't know Lousã, I chose the restaurant "Cervejaria Universal", but I strongly say that it was one of the worst restaurants I've ever eaten in my entire life, if not the WORST. Firstly, what caught my attention on the Menu was the Salmon which was accompanied with SWEET POTATOES and SAUTEED VEGETABLES WITH SALAD! Then we ordered a prego on the plate and fritters with cockle rice. 1°- The Salmon (which was a frozen steak), came accompanied instead of with sweet potatoes, as was stated on the menu, with REGULAR POTATOES! It is important to mention that one of the potatoes, there were 4, was undercooked! The funniest thing was the fact that the table service didn't even know what a sweet potato was!!! I also don't know where the sautéed vegetables and the salad were? The waitress told me that there were no vegetables but "Migas". Ok, we accepted the crumbs, however they were terrible, they had been made the day before. 2°- The nail had no flavor, there were parts that looked like stone. The fries were not tasty. Rice is ultimately worse than porridge for babies. 3°- I think the fritters with cockle rice were the best. Even so, the rice had no flavor whatsoever! Come on, the pataniscas still tasted like something decent. I congratulate the kitchen for cooking something good for the first time. In short, and concluding my review, I would like to draw the attention of the restaurant management to be careful when they write "Diary", as this only includes the dish and nothing else (drink, dessert). Overall, as I said, everything was terrible! Very disappointed! "Cervejaria Universal" I think these criticisms will start to recur if they don't try to improve their meals. May these reviews help you grow as a restaurant.

Ate dinner here with my mother. We did not realize that the meals were family style so we both ordered. Food was delicious. Excellently seasoned. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to help us even with my very broken Portuguese. Highly recommend.

I went to eat at the Brewery on 01/31/2024 and I have never had such a spectacular reception like that! It was my mother's birthday and from the reception until the end I felt a sense of affection that immediately made everything more special.I ordered the land and sea board and it was €33 per board! Super cheap! €33 for 3 people!The owner of the restaurant is extremely friendly and so is the waiter! They put on music and started singing for my mother, creating a unique atmosphere that I believe no other restaurant would create! There was plenty of food and there was still leftovers, there was a mix of different high quality meats and even large grilled prawns.You won't regret going to this restaurant! Great for birthdays and to make that day even more special.

The day before I called to reserve a table and they didn't tell me that there is take-out on Sundays. Well, we arrived at the reserved time and were served more than an hour later! Explanation: take away. First they deliver the orders and then serve the tables. Another factor that displeased me: not having a la carte service. It was the dish of the day and that was it. It was disappointing. The only exception: the attendant tried her best to explain the inexplicable and was as attentive as she could. Don't go for lunch at Cervejaria Unjversal on Sundays if you're hungry or in a hurry.
They only had hamburgers, low quality. The service was bad, we had to stop at the bar to ask for a drink and so on for a fork or paper. I wouldn't go back.

I paid €20 for a picanha + drinks which I thought was expensive. However, this would be excusable if not for the exorbitant waiting time to be served at the beginning, during and even to pay for dinner! The staff was beyond slow and didn't seem to care.
