Incredible walk from Cerdeira to this place. The owner is super friendly and funny. We walked to the waterfall from here which was worth it, if you want to cool off but don’t want to walk all the way down, just take a left where you find the natural pool. We got our food served in a roof tile. There are not too many non-meat options. If you want to have pizza you have to order it a day before. There are 2 cars waiting for your cuddles

Excellent place to eat grilled ribs or lamb. Service by the "Chef" and the only employee in the house, making the atmosphere very familiar. Advance booking is required and is only open on weekends and holidays. All the decoration is typically rural and local, the tables and chairs are made of heavy wood and "seriously", there is no need for air conditioning as the temperature in the room remains at the level of a cellar, which in summer becomes very pleasant. A must-visit place for anyone who comes to visit the Schist Villages in Lousã.

A nice restaurant in a small Schist village!We ate lamb and ribs which were good but we were disappointed with the potatoes as they looked like frozen ones!It is advisable to book in advance as early as possible as the space is small, crowded and there was only one person serving!

Possibly the worst experience of my life, we had dinner at 8pm and we arrived at 7.51pm, we knocked on the door and a prehistoric species of human being appeared, extremely rude, saying that if the appointment was for 8pm we could only go in at 8pm, at that moment I asked the character if we were going to stay at the door until 8pm with the temperature 2 degrees, then the guy slams the door back and shouts and says "You want to come in, come in", as is evident we left, Aldeias de Xisto has all the requirements to be an excellent place for a getaway but there is still a lot of work to do on the human side, a lot of lack of tact in contact with people, friendliness reigns nowhere, but this guy at Restaurante Sabores da Aldeia is a unique case of poor creation, a regrettable experience but one that turned out for the best because we ended up having a wonderful experience elsewhere.
