The chef was the only English speaking person and gave us a full run of their menu and specialties. Our party ordered the beef steak with potatoes and the octopus \\u0026 potatoes, both were excellent with the steak - which is their specialty - stealing the show! Generally, the food is a contemporary interpretation of local cuisine. The chef also recommended a local Duoro valley red wine, which was terrific. The portions are quite generous, we had no room left for desert!! The price was unbelievable at less than 20 Euros/person for the very sophisticated food and atmosphere. Truely a local gem.
