Nice food, however shame about the service from one staff member and absolutely avoid if you have allergies. We visited for dinner and immediately felt our waiter did not want to have to look after our table as it seemed he had friends dining in on a different table. Menus were chucked on the table and the waiter ignored us whilst talking to his friends. When ordering we explained our child had a severe allergy and asked if one of the dishes contained this, to which we were bluntly told it did not. Due to the waiters previous attitude we further questioned this, to find out it did contain the allergen. This could have been deadly had we not checked. No apology was given.
Dietary restrictions: Avoid if you have allergies as these are not taken seriously

Very friendly, honestly open and supportive service. Professional, knowledgeable waiters who obviously enjoy their work despite the flood of tourists. Very good original Portuguese meat dishes. Best location on the promenade with a view of the Atlantic...it was really nice and good! Thanks!

We visited the restaurant around 9 pm. Despite half the tables being free and the occupied ones mostly finishing up, we had to wait 10 minutes to get any service. When we asked for desserts, the waiter seemed surprised and started rambling about how they "only do dinner" and repeatedly said, "but OK OK, we can do an exception," and "only this time we can serve only a dessert." His condescending tone and unnecessary rambling made us feel very unwelcome. The dessert menu was poor anyway, so we decided to leave. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet the service was subpar and unaccommodating.
