“Excellent river fish (varieties that vary according to the season and the fishing carried out by the owners, who are the fishermen themselves). Meat option available, recommending the black pork secrets, kebabs and sirloin steaks. All accompanied with a variety of side dishes included, such as roe bread or endive salad (seasonal).
Kid-friendliness: With a large and spacious terrace
Wheelchair accessibility: Large, accessible and walkable outdoor terrace. Access to the interior through a door that can be opened. Open area, easy to get around, including the bathrooms.“
“We had lunch here on a day tour from Funchal. We chose just the right time as there were a few tables free when we sat down but within 10 minutes it was full. I ordered a ham and cheese toasty which came with chips and was only €4.50! For the amount of food it was really quite cheap. We sat outside which was nice, but don't expect a nice view - it is next to a car park and on the main road. Service was good.“

“We went almost by chance, looking for a restaurant in the area. It was a right choice! One drawback: it's a little dark, which helps in summer as it's cooler. Mr. "Whiskers" is a curious figure and reveals himself if we strike up a conversation. The food was impeccable!“

“Buffet restaurant with a wide variety of food. A varied and abundant starter table where cheese reigns?, with plenty of pasta, cold salads, pizzas, savory snacks, etc. On the hot table the variety continues. We had at our disposal Portuguese stew, suckling pig, cod with cream, duck rice, oven-baked chicken, grilled dishes, etc. To conclude this meal, we enter the sweets and fruit table where the party of choices continues. All this accompanied with juices, wine and water. As it was a Sunday there was live music, discreet enough not to disturb the meal. Even with a full house, the service provided by Andreia was good. I recommend.“
“O Emigrante is an unpretentious café-restaurant located at the market-square of Evoramonte. Alejento cuisine define its character. The restaurant is family owned and managed. Service is very friendly. The daughter of the owners, who is also serving at the restaurant, speaks English well. The restaurant is open for drinks, lunch & dinner and is popular with locals as well as tourists. You can dine inside or at the terrace at the square. We came on a weekday for dinner and the place was busy with local men enjoying social gossip and a glass of beer after a way of work. We dined at the terrace and went for pork chops and turkey chops, both with home made potato chips and salad, accompanied with a small bottle of Alejento red. Both the dishes had two large chops. When you fancy less meat, go for sharing and ask extra chips. When you want an OK dinner, O Emigrante is the place for you. Don’t expect fine dining.“
“We didn't know, but we became customers, and next time we'll make the reservation as instructed. We loved the friendliness with which we were welcomed, the surroundings of the dam, the homemade food, that delicious tomato soup, the perfectly grilled fataça, the divine migas and the tomato salad certainly picked from the garden because that flavor does not deceive. Due to the large number of people, reservations are recommended to guarantee a table.“

“Beautiful, don't be fooled by where the entrance is, go upstairs and you will be surprised. We ate very, very well with our two 5 year old children who do not pay. The boss was very friendly.
All you can eat buffet, from starter to dessert with quality cuisine ?.
We thank them and I recommend without worries.“

“The food was good despite having too much salt. The wait between ordering and delivery was too long as there were later orders served first. We ended up not even drinking coffee because even though the room wasn't full, the employee didn't care even though we called several times.“

“Restaurant not as small as it looks at the entrance. We went on a weekday and according to the owners, it was a complicated week for them. We had 2 dishes on the menu and we opted for the stew and although simple it was very good even though I don't like pork the one I ate was good and tender. A lot of friendliness from those who helped us, explaining the situation and quick to serve.
Parking: A place that isn't too difficult to park, even if it's not at the door, you can get around and there's a parking lot nearby.
Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant with a terrace and the entrance has a higher step that may be a little difficult to enter in a wheelchair, but with help I think it can be done, people with mobility difficulties or age with or less difficulty can climb it.“

“A very good dinner, served quickly and generously. The waitress is friendly. We just suffered from the heat despite the drafts. Air conditioning would have been appreciated. Simple but efficiently executed dishes. The whole family had a great time“

“On a walk and in the mood for lunch, the choice was “O Dente Leve”, a simple restaurant with divine tasting food, the choice was ranch ?, the wine suggested was artisanal, different flavor and very good, the flan pudding was also very good, friendliness and attention to service 5⭐️I recommend it ??“

“We went in the evening & the waitress was very friendly. We had great expectations from the other reviews & were underwhelmed. While there were many ootions, to me there was nothing that stood out about the food, it felt like pretty standard vegan buffet fare. For example Herman's in Stockholm is amazing vegan buffet. We had the dessert (which is not included in the buffet price), both were good but again not great.“
