1. The meals are simple, yet beautifully prepared and presented. 2. The food is of the highest standard (we had the espetada, cooked over an open wood fire). 3. The service is extremely friendly – they make you feel a welcome guest 4. The ‘jar’ of the local red wine was quite something 5. The homemade mousse was delicious (but difficult to keep to just 1 portion!) We wished we had been staying in Santo da Serra another day so that we could come back again.
