Raw food they were asking if we want them to cook the food that was on the plate instead of giving us new dish. Did not even apologize or try to recompensate terrible service. At the end tried to bribe us with some cheap wine. Avoid this place

Today we enjoyed a delicious soup of the day and bruschetta at O Casco, and both dishes tasted excellent! The staff was very friendly. After we answered in Portuguese, the waitress asked if she should answer in English or Portuguese. We mentioned that we were learning Portuguese, so she calmly spoke Portuguese to us, which made our experience very enjoyable. Our visit to the restaurant "O Casco" in Machico was motivated by its good reviews. We were greeted by a French speaking waitress, which was a plus. The ambiance of the place was pleasant.We chose the fried calamari with sweet potato and the grilled salmon with fries. Unfortunately, compared to other less touristy restaurants, our experience was disappointing. The dishes seemed to be prepared with not very fresh and basic products. The fries and squid appeared to be of industrial origin, which left us with mixed feelings.Although I can't say the dishes were bad, the lack of home preparation disappointed us. We expect the food offered in restaurants to be authentic and made on site. Additionally, the value for money was quite high for Madeira, which didn't quite meet our expectations.

Brilliant restaurant. The service was amazing, they were very nice and gave us some food to see if we liked it. We ordered lamb and kebeb. Delicious, delicate meat, perfectly seasoned. Nothing to do but come and eat. An additional advantage is the card in Polish.
