They are not prepared for food allergies. The service is really bad. More than 2 hours to bring the second one, so that it finally came with gluten. I couldn't have dinner, since they had to make the dish again and the waiting time was no longer feasible. Expensive, nothing special and very uninclusive. The only pro is that it is pretty. I don't recommend it to anyone.

Definitively a nice place to visit when in Pico. The view is fantastic, you can see the beauty of the ocean while enjoying a drink. The service is pretty good, though it can get slow . Our waitress was polite but seemed not interested. Food is good, but not great.

Octopus on point. The environment is calm and welcoming. The view is wonderful, with the sun setting behind Faial ❤️

If you want to have a drink or diner at the sunset … this is the place. Food cocktails and wine. The food was very very good also.

Very nice location
Service is slow and only when prompted.
Explanation of the wine tasting not good and relatively expensive for what you get,
20 euros for 4 tastings.
Particularly enjoyed the weather, setting and my company.

Well finished place with a truly enviable view, but the food, service and overall experience were not up to par. We found the waiters unhelpful. Nothing was explained to us about what was brought to the table, something I think is important in a wine tasting venue. High prices, good quality food. All in all I don't recommend a visit, the terrace is really beautiful, but you can find better.

The restaurant is located in a beautiful place, directly on the sea. Beautiful in architecture and furnishings.

Unfortunately the management seems to want to rely on this advantage and profit from tourists who are not familiar with the service.

The tables and some of the materials are clearly old and ruined/rusted.

The wines offered are actually very good and the little food we tried was also good. Unfortunately the price is incredibly high and inadequate.
Be careful with aperitifs and tastings, you have to add the bread (4 euros for 5 slices).

#### Cella Bar, Madalena, Pico

The Cella Bar in Madalena, Pico, is an evocative place located on the edge of the sea. Architecturally splendid, built of wood, it offers a discovery around every corner with very different rooms, but always furnished with style. The terrace overlooking Faial is a real spectacle, especially at sunset.

The waiters are friendly, although sometimes a little hasty and not always attentive. The wine and tapas list is interesting, although it's probably not the cheapest place on the island. However, you pay for quality so we didn't complain too much.

We decided to try the wine tasting: €20, for 4 glasses. A reasonable price, we thought. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to expectations. The 4 glasses arrived all together. Three wines (white, rosé and sweet wine) were cold, but warmed up very quickly. Furthermore, we were not told what wines they were (cellar, label, etc.) and they were served in glasses not up to tasting level. The presentation was really basic and rough. €20 may not be much, but for this experience it is definitely too much. It seemed like a classic tourist trap to us.

The tapas, however, were good.

Cella Bar in Madalena, Pico, is a captivating place right by the sea. Architecturally stunning, made of wood, it offers a new discovery at every turn with very different rooms, but all well-furnished with style. The terrace with a view of Faial is spectacular, especially at sunset.

The waiters are kind, although sometimes a bit brisk and not always attentive. The wine and tapas menu is interesting, although it's probably not the cheapest place on the island. However, quality comes at a price, so we didn't mind too much.

Three wines (white, rosé, and sweet wine) were cold but warmed up very quickly. Moreover, we were not informed about the wines (winery, label, etc.), and they were served in glasses not suitable for a tasting. The presentation was very basic and thrown together. €20 might be little, but for this experience, it's definitely too much. It felt like a typical tourist trap.

The tapas, however, were good.

Another overrated bar/restaurant with the motto "location is everything", but the 4-person extremely cool service team was somehow too cool to take proper care of the handful of guests. The cheese platter with some kind of biscuits and the additional bread ordered are just a joke for the price...
