Great local food
It's very difficult to have everything good and sometimes it doesn't just depend on the restaurant, it depends on the diners. And today everything fell into place, basket with hot bread and cracklings already inside the bread, a person received like this even forgets to place the order. Then a menu that, after looking at it a lot, leaves you thinking that, well, well, you could order almost everything. I ended up placing myself in the "hands" of the lady who attended to me, with kindness and pure joy, and she chose for me, and the certainty and security with which she did so, without fear, is truly from someone who knows the excellent quality of the service for which She shows her face, there aren't many like that. Once again Mr. João, thank you very much for everything. More than knowing how to cook, it's being able to convey on the plate all the feelings that go into what you do. For you it was just another day, for me it was a discovery. Just two minutes of talking to you and if I hadn't had a sweet tooth I wouldn't need dessert anymore. We will definitely see each other more often, that's all I can tell you. Thanks.

My favourite restaurant in Mafra, great local dishes. The wait staff are helpful and friendly.
It feels like the food comes straight from your mother's kitchen with love.

Local a voltar.

Traditional Portuguese food with a touch of old-timey recipes. If it's good? No! It is very good!!
A small room requires tables to be very close together, which leads to a loss of privacy during conversations. The friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness, the quality of the food, the atmosphere, make up for it all.
Fair prices.
Probably the best restaurant in Mafra.

Genialna, fantastyczna, niezapomniana ?. Musieliśmy swoje odstać żeby wejść i zjeść wybornych dań. Do tego przemiła obsługa. Miejsce absolutnie zasługujące na swoją znakomita opinię.

We arrived without a reservation, and it was the last table available. After that, a lot of people were waiting. From the starters (all said by mouth) good bread came to the table and a wonderful bread with cracklings, olives without any seasoning that added nothing, and one (thankfully just one) fresh cheese, seasoned with lots of olive oil and herbs (4 € each!!!). It didn't taste like anything, it lacked salt and it didn't come to the table either. From what they advertise as "comfort food", I dislike that it is served in individual dishes, like the lamb stew that you want warm in a covered pan. It was honestly delicious, with toast but the potatoes needed to be cooked. a shame! The sea bass with bulhão duck sauce with migas and a mix of potatoes that weren't fully cooked...it was good. The purple potato was very tasty. Desserts, Abbot de Priscos pudding, and a biscuit cake... no comments, nothing special. The house red wine was really bad, I even got a headache...
I asked for the bill, and it took a long time, and when I asked again the answer was simply "I didn't take it"! It seems to me that it's a place where local people go, and those who aren't local are a little "out of place". Not to be repeated...
(in the photos, the dishes had already been disorganized)
I went about a week ago to validate the invoice I had requested: they didn't give me an invoice, and I didn't confirm it at the time! Definitely not going back!!
