Good morning,I only went once but I highly recommend that you come and have lunch at this restaurant, the food was very well prepared, and it should also be noted that I was very well received by the lady at the restaurant.The menu is reasonably priced, as they generously serve some good dishes and the price is ideal.

Good grilled Pork Strips, good Bitoque, and very good Sausage Cutlets (very tender and tasty).Very good Chocolate Mousse ?, the Serradura the day I ate it, it was at room temperature, it needed to be colder.Full menu: bread, olives, dish, drink, dessert and coffee for €10.NOTE: there is no ATM, it only accepts cash.

The couvert (bred and various little things like olives and marinated carrots was so-so; the sardine pate was packaged, toasted bread stale, goat cheese just so-so. But the prawns in garlic butter starter and the sardines “Algarve” style were excellent. I was a bit afraid after the starter but thankfully the plates were much better!

I visit this restaurant for lunch on a regular basis. It’s a great family run restaurant serving a variety of delicious food. Whatever I choose I am never disappointed. Great food, great service and I love the warm welcome we always receive.

I'd previously reviewed O Cantinho as 5/5 so was very much looking forward to visiting again last week. It was 2021 when we were last there. I was a bit worried when I read a couple of recent reviews about some staff members. Unfortunately on this my fifth or sixth visit we also encountered that ignorance from the same older grey haired man with a moustache. His ignorance knows no bounds. We never even got to eat there this time. He just deliberately and obviously went out of his way to ignore us waiting for a table. Once I thought was a mistake. Twice I started to be concerned. When this ignorant man did it a third time we walked off . Unfortunately as with quite a few restaurants in Carvoeiro now, even in October they are busier than I have ever known. I'm sure they are all happy with the increased profits but it appears that the customer no longer has any importance. They certainly wanted our custom after covid and we were there. I will never eat at this restaurant again and I hope dearly that whoever owns it does something about it. My fear is they just don't care anymore. That man deserves nothing

Fabulous food and service. I had the filet beef wellington which was superb and cooked to perfection. My husband had the Codfish which was also delicious. Having moved to the area recently, I am sure we will be going back to O Cantinho many many times. Great find!

Ordered steak well done, looked like a piece of leather. Meat was bleeding, and despite several attempts couldn’t cut. The staff did confess that the particular piece of beef hadn’t been up to their usual standards and that other customers had returned their steaks with the same complaint. Why did they not take the dish off the menu? Many heated words were exchanged. No respect for the customer. Waitress asked “coffee, dessert”, not “would you like a coffee or dessert”. Staff require customer services training. Horrible experience.

Walked out. Older gentleman with a mustache was the rudest server I have ever encountered in my life. Completely baffled by this experience and could not justify spending money here so walked out. Wow

Definitely always on our list to visit - and my husband always regrets not getting the steak on the stone. I get it - and frankly, you don’t need the accompaniments. It’s huge. 13 year old loves their spag bol. My slightly fussier 14 year old doesn’t like it much as choices are limited for non meat eaters. However the service is always great. You must book in though.
