For families and couples I recommend it without hesitation. Cozy atmosphere, genuine people and fantastic food. In the heart of the mountains, one of the most charming villages in Portugal, Manteigas is close to our hearts, with Alfatima being our favorite restaurant! I strongly advise you to visit this place, as Alfatima has no equal! Big hug to the whole team!

Upon entering, the restaurant's atmosphere is promising. Very welcoming, with careful decoration. However, the service and food left a lot to be desired. A very inexperienced team, which showed some lack of friendliness and attention. I ordered steak with mountain cheese but it was rare (I asked for well-done), cold (the dish was cold) and the meat had a lot of nerves. It was expensive and disappointing, considering the reviews I read here.

On Christmas Eve we chose Alfatima for lunch. At first everything seemed a little confusing and the cheese and ham for the starters were already missing, we thought that was strange…. However, when the food arrived at the table it was a pleasant surprise. Homemade food, very well prepared. Little by little, the employees there organized themselves and we left with the desire to return one day. The restaurant has a very beautiful and welcoming decor.
