The food is very good, there is a good atmosphere and the service is very attentive and friendly, including the restaurant owner. In 5 years prices have increased by around €7 for each dose (2 people) and wines and starters between €2-4.
I didn't like the fact that (2019 and 2024) they brought a variety of starters to the table without the customer asking.

Dinner was simply excellent! The meat is of exceptional quality, the accompaniment has exquisite taste, the dessert (biscuit cake) is delicious with a modern touch. The meal was also memorable for the calm atmosphere, good music (jazz piano), and very friendly service from those who served us: Filipa, with exceptional efficiency and friendliness. We loved the meal and the service. We recommend that Portuguese people and anyone visiting Portugal, be sure to plan a meal at A ver o Douro, to enjoy it calmly. Delicious Arouca steak and the staff was super attentive when serving even when arriving at the restaurant around 3pm (break time).
