Cozy restaurant from the 14th century. The food was really good, with local dishes but also e.g. salmon from Norway. We were three adults and ate both fish and beef. Everything was of good quality. We drank the local Douro wine, both red and white, which also tasted good. Service was also good, although it was a little difficult to communicate. The menu card is modern and easy to find around. If you want delicious food in cozy surroundings, we recommend Almeida 1375!

The first time I went to this restaurant, in the early days of its opening, I wasn't very impressed, apart from the physical space, which I consider, without a doubt, one of the most pleasant in the municipality. This time, some appetizers were served, consisting of two types of butter, with aromatic herbs, olives and olive oil, which would have been sufficient as a starter. But we still opted for some tasty clams, with a great sauce, but practically devoid of content. The piece of meat was good, cooked to perfection and served with equally well-cooked greens and roasted potatoes. As for the sangria, it lacked the red fruits, although it tasted good.

Found the restaurant in GoogleMaps, saw they did lunch and some items I could eat with my healthy eating plan. Nice images online and the interior design looked adequate for a medium level cosy afternoon lunch.
Drove there arriving at 1pm on a Saturday. Nice location, lovely view… it was raining A bit though. But at the entrance I found no illuminated menu, or information directing to the entrance or anything. I looked through the glass, the place looked empty, but there was a man with his back to me. I walked around the building and saw lady in inform thinking I had the wrong entrance. She directed me back to the same door…
Just didn’t seem like they wanted customers, so I left. I do not enter restaurants with insufficient information. Clear Menu, clear directions, welcoming friendly staff at the door. It’s a pity because it looked nice. Drove to Amarante and got the friendly service and clear information even though it wasn’t exactly what I wanted to eat.

Beautiful space with super attentive staff, like Cristiana, the owner of the space. Without a doubt the best restaurant in Marco de Canaveses for a pleasant gastronomic moment.

Today I came for lunch with family and a group of friends who already frequent this restaurant, and I was faced with a very slow and disorganized service, with no apology being made for the arrogance of the staff and the delay! So, although the food was pleasant, it was an experience not to be repeated!

2 visits and 2 completely different visits: the 1st was in summer: dinner on the terrace, magnificent view of the river, impeccable service, delicious food. I loved it!2nd visit this April 19, 2024 (a Friday evening): not a cat.. we were the only customers. Had dinner inside but then WHAT A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. The meal finished (while we still had a bottle of wine to drink) at 9 p.m., we were made to understand in a disrespectful manner that it was HIGH TIME TO LEAVE! A Friday evening at 9 p.m.?? They started by turning off some lights, then it was the music, then the kitchen (where the employee made personal phone calls and then played on her cell phone); the other employee (in the room) kept passing by and looking at us "so when are you leaving?"... Then it was the boss who had the same attitude. I now understand why there was no one there on a Friday evening. We made the remark to the boss who of course had nothing to do with it! HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! I won't set foot there again.
