It was our first time in Porto and we were told 5 Oceans was the best seafood around, we were not disappointed! The food and atmosphere were amazing!!!! Our waiter was named Francisco and he was so kind and knowledgeable of the menu, he made an amazing dinner into an amazing experience. We can’t wait to return and see Francisco again.

We were aware of the high prices because we had read some reviews beforehand and the starter was really worth the price and very tasty. For the main course we ordered the seafood pasta for 2 people. Unfortunately we were pretty disappointed. The pasta was served in a soup bowl and consisted of macaroni noodles, a thin sauce/soup and some chopped seafood. We asked the waiter about it and he said that's how we eat it here. However, in our opinion that doesn't justify the price of over €60 for a large portion of macaroni with some seafood. Nevertheless, the service was very nice and attentive.

The restaurant is not on the seafront, nor in a field or hill with wonderful views. It is on a dirty street that could be located in any dormitory city around Madrid. We ordered scallops as a starter. They presented us with 4 tiny grilled scallops, on a slice of apple thinner than cigarette paper, more than 35 euros. Prawns with mushrooms: they looked more like prawns. Grilled with sautéed mushrooms. 7 prawns and several mushrooms. Correct dishes but with hardly any flavor. Between €15 and €20. Seafood croquettes: very good, exquisite. 4 thick croquettes, more than €15. Seafood rice, very delicious, just right, for 2 people but correct in quantity and sharing, more than €60. Two rods and a bottle of water. Total: €144. Value for money, the croquettes and rice were worth it. The rest, abuse. We left with a bang. There are restaurants without so much white tablecloth and ceremony with the same quality and much better prices.
The Seafood here was good at premium high prices. The waiter was very impatient talking our order. If you must have white table cloth and trying to impress others with an astronomical bill, this is the place for you. Otherwise, do your homework and eat somewhere else. Oysters, scallops, octopus, crab pâté, fried fish accompanied by Portuguese tomato cooked rice. All excellent, cooked to perfection with sauces to suit and a white wine.
