There's nothing better than having a good coffee on the Esplanade of Capricorn, it's still one of the few places in Matosinhos where you can hear the trees moving, I recommend it

First day in Matosinhos, we asked a passerby on the street where to find some good coffee, and she took us to this little gem. Of course, we arrived at the local lunchtime, so there was a bit of a wait for a table. The staff don't speak English, and our Portuguese is VERY limited, but please ask for Mary Irene (she is the cook, her nickname is Mi) if you need a translator. She was FABULOUS and very helpful. She told us that she speaks some French and German as well. We just ordered some simple grilled cheese sandwiches and coffee, but all were delicious and fast service. The cafe boasts a wide selection of pastries and desserts as well, which I will certainly be back to try. Highly recommend this gem.

Hi Everybody
After a stressful day at work I decided to stop by Capricho Doce (regrettably). I asked for a sweet to take away as there was already traffic and I couldn't stop to "enjoy" (I thought...) a sweet, the attendant, at his peak of competence (and possibly because he knew he couldn't complain as was already leaving), he decided that it would be an excellent idea to deliver my sweet without any cream. Obviously I wouldn't leave the house just to complain, instead, I thought it best, even if not in person, to express my displeasure. I chose to review online to inform future customers about this "café", if we can call it that??.

They have to improve in making the king cake. It's weak!
I really like going to this establishment, a great variety of products, but very confusing in the morning, ok, and a lot of people even understand each other, but at the end of the day, my God, it seems like they're doing you a favor.Not all the staff but some have a bad disposition and leave their friendliness at home but I advise not to, it's expensive, the birthday cakes are delicious.But as I say, you can't please everyone, congratulations
