An old colonial style hotel. It is said that the owner - an Englishman - had it dismantled in England and rebuilt in Nelas. He had longing. The parquet floor in the dining room, the pictures, the porcelain and the rooms make you believe this. The rooms are very nice, especially the ones with a view of the valley. The breakfast is continental, simple but fresh and good. Dad Hotel is outside, car is urgently required. The pool is quite large at around 25m and the oranges fresh from the tree are a dream. I'm in the area for work, but within driving distance there are some nice spots and sights in the area.

The shrimp in garlic was bland and greasy. Service was surly and rushed. There are better, less expensive places to dine in the Porto area. Avoid it.
