This little familiar restaurant near the beach of Matosinhos. I usually reccomend it to my visitors because I go there myself with my family.The grill is outside so you can order the freshest fish and it will be cooked on the spot. I speciallly recommend the codfish...im away to much portuguese?

I wish I had seen the previous reviews...they said the whole fresh fish would be 32.00 with potatoes for both of us. When the bill came they charged 38.00 and the starter, which we did not order was an additional 8.75. They reduced the fish back to 32.00 but would not take the starter off and were not nice about it either but did take a credit card payment. Will never go back or recommend this restaurant.

SCAMMEDSat at the table. While I’m looking at the menu, the waiter brings me an appetizer. Since I looked confused (I didn’t order anything at this point), he tells me that this is the appetizer. Still confused… but I just think that maybe this is Portuguese hospitality or maybe it’s on the house.I was so wrong. The appetizer that I did not order was charged on my final bill.I’m an Asian American tourist visiting the area and they def took advantage of me.Avoid!

Eating alone for lunch….a table by the open door, not set was offered to me. I noticed that a clean, set table was further in the restaurant. I asked to sit at that one.I spoke all the way through in Portuguese. My main course was half dose (single portion) robaloIt was very dry. What I did notice were two younger women sharing my exact main dish and to cap it all, the waiter very professionally filittted it for them…what service which you can get if face fitsSo. All in all entry tuna pate, small sparkling water and very dry sea bass. Had my coffee and dessert elsewhere….not be going backH

I give you one star for cheating and charging people extra money . For example: I ordered half portion of sardines and you charged me for full portion . Bottle of tinto - you charged me for more expensive one . You charged me for fish per kilo but on the bill you don't put exact weight of the fish and fish I ordered was definitely no 1kg as you charged me for ! You know what you doing shame on you ! Definitely avoid if you don't speak Portuguese .

We visited for fresh fish lunch and we’re not disappointed. Fish and prawns were cooked over coals outside and were very tasty and fresh. Happy customers

We were a party of four, three of us ordered "mixed grilled fish", and one ordered "sea food rice", and wine. The wine was good. Mixed grilled fish for three persons were only one plate of fish and some potatoes, still hungry when we left the total bill was 120 euroes. Definately expected more food for that price. And the service was also bad. The waiter did not offer any help during the meal. There was also a sign at the door indicating that they accept credit card, but we was refused to pay with any card and were told to pay with cash. They were rude, and did not offer any help. Would definately not go back, and would not reccomend this place for anyone else, especially if you are not a local.

The food was very very good. Sadly the rest was a quite unpleasant experience. We didn’t order starters but received some anyways. We ordered two glasses of wine but a whole bottle was placed on the table. We didn’t order extra bread but still got a 5 euro basket full of it. Right from the start we were confused and had to constantly ask if this is included in the price or an unasked-for extra. At the end the bill was simply put on our table without us asking for it. Unfortunately can’t recommend the place.
