Restaurante Fernando (O Fernando)

Good food, but I thought the portion was extremely small for 4 people... €60 for a portion of hake... and it came with 6 small pieces with some pieces of potato and nothing else... I thought the service was not in good faith. That's why I'm not going back!

We had a wonderful dining experience here last night. The owner & staff were attentive and helpful.
They gave me a gooseneck barnacle to try when they saw me looking at the seafood display, & were very understanding that we didn’t speak Portuguese. Instead, they did their best to communicate in English & it was a lovely, friendly exchange.
We had clams (briny, succulent) with buttery grilled toast, seafood rice (stuffed with seafood with a delicate fresh tomato base) & housewine (crisp, balance & a generous pour).
The portions were so generous we barely finished, & the total bill came to just €60 for 2 diners. What a great value experience that I’d recommend without hesitation.
Take the time to find this slightly hidden restaurant. It is cosy inside and popular with locals.

Typical Portuguese restaurant fish by weight. Ideal for sharing a fish with two or more people.
There were two of us and we had a hard time figuring out how to put together our menu.

We ate seafood rice today for which we paid 100 euros for 4 people. With very little seafood. Everything was good in terms of flavor but they were very abusive with the price charged! Very dissatisfied with this situation.

Food with a lot of variety and quality.
Good wine list.

We ate grilled sea bass that came with naughty rice that was really on point.
The only flaw was that the fish was too big for 3 people, but we managed to eat it all.

Good dessert menu too.
